I did know the version by the "Troubadours" issued in 1928 for William Wellman's homonym film w Wallace Beery, Louise Brooks and Richard Arlen, but this is an amazing find, it's splendid. Thank you a million times for posting!

Wow, I never heard Scrappy go for a high note like that. It proves he could do it with no problem. What a nice record.
