Rebuild of the 150 Gallon SPS Tank...Part 6...Tank finally on the Stand

awesome video. I plan on building a tall stand also. I don't know why ppl have them little stands where you gotta bend down just to view the tank. That's wack lol. I'm upgrading to a rimless 100 gallon tank. And I'm going all out with the stand. Thinking of a bar/stand look.

Looking good man. I did the same thing to my 90, but I didn't go all out to make it pretty as you did with yours because I plan to upgrade my tank size as well and have just one big tank vs three. This hobby is so addictive that once u master a small tank u can't help but to want a larger one. Improvements on equipment as well. Can't wait to see it fully functional. Hope all goes well getting those scratches out. If you do them yourself I would love to see the video. Looking good bro. KeepReefin

The stand and the tank look great. I like the stand being tall. I don't know why the manufactures don't allow more head room on the stands.

For the gap between the tank and the stand you could remove the current molding and get some crown molding, cut it at an angle and angle it in towards the glass to close the gap. That would look amazing!

However, Looks great anyways!! Thumbs up hear.

@moneymarkj - Haha. I know exactly how you feel. Those moldings are a B to get right. And to make it the way I was thinking you would need a Masters Degee for the angles. ROFLMAO. There is no way that I could do that. I would have to employ a contractor friend of mine.

nice. yea I hated having to look down on my old tank because it was short. got a new stand but it aint near the size of that beast but im a good foot shorter then you so thats ok. haha a 32 inch tall stand will bring it at eye level for me. Im only 5.5 lol

I have that same gap, I was thinking of putting molding flat like a ledge all the way around but never got around to it, now I dont even notice it anymore. HAHA it pays to have friends that are BEASTS right, had to call my boy "Avalanche" to help me lug mine up 2 flights of stairs.

One of my Subs gave me a good idea to put wood in those gaps to make it go flush with the boarders on the stand...Thinking of going that route...Gotta have some BIG friends when your dealing in this hobby!

lol, yeah i know my bra has a 180 gallon and his friend has a 220.I help them both put they tank's in there house.that was a workout....I be glad when i get my 180 or 220 when i move into my house.

Never happend though so concentrated on knocking down the threes. Every now and then we drive the lane and put that ball up over the big guys "the trees" :0 got it now. Tank is coming along man.
