I love Shy'm and her musique, but what pisses me off is her acting like she is from Martinique. She was born and raised in France, to a French mother and a Martiniquan father. Not only has she never lived in Martinique, she is only half Martiniquan. But despite that, I love Shy'm, and she is my favorite singer in all the Francophone.. J t aime Shy'm!.. Does she speak Antillean Creole? Is that accent of hers, while singing, with stressing on the first syllables something borrowed from the Lesser Antilles?
well, akon is half senegalese and no one seems pissed off when he reps that, on the contrary they seem proud. And I didn't know shy'm acts like she is from martinique, she didn't say that in this interview anyway, as her mother is moroccan.
she never said she's from Martinique...obviously you dont understand what she said in her interview...she said she spent some of her childhood in Martinique and she has GREAT memories from there and thats why her first single "femme de couleur" was mainly about Martinique. you just cant blame her for loving it there...the Caribbean is a really nice place to live...j'adore Shy'M aussi!!!! <3 elle est si belle et une magnifique chanteuse!!! :)
