My dad is still alive, but he's never been any kind of father for us. Both my sister and I have children now, and I have grandchildren too. My dad has no contact with neither of us. His choice. I try to be everything he is/was not. I envy your relationship with your dad - and I loved your tribute to him... I wish you all the best. J

I was going through such a tough time at the end of '04 when I broke up with my girlfriend and this song helped me get through it. It is so gorgeous. I've never known my dad but this song tells still speaks to me on so many levels. It's such a touching video.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I have a close friend, who is in one of the photos. His Dad died when he was twelve in a boating accident. I asked him how he did it. He said he didn't have a choice, that was the hand he was dealt in life. Even though I miss my Dad, I had him for a relatively long time. Your Father will always be your Father and the ties that you have now bind you forever. I hope all goes well for you. Nate.

This was a very beautiful tribute to your father It made me cry because it is so real and so touching I am 27 and my father is almost 70 (yes he had me late in life) and I know that when he goes, I am going to lose my mind How did you cope with his death?
