Is the glitch in the video at the end of the 59th second. There is an image that appears for about a nanosecond of the Doctor held captive by UNIT (or whatever the soldiers are called) but you also have it after that. Was that the glitch mentioned in the description?
And just a little trivia, but the when the Master enters dancing to the song, the voice on the intercom says "...your lord and master stands on high, playing track three.", it's accurate, as the song actually is the third song on it's album ;)

When I watched this ep, i watched again on the Sunday with comentry, with RTD and he said we were lucky in the Uk as the BBC whould show the whole thing as he knew he had gone over time, but he said that the other countries that brought would have to cut it to fit into the timwslots they have for it. I hope this helps.

He mentioned something about being ressurected for the Time War at some point in "Sound of Drums"...I'm not completly familiar with the past of Doctor Who, I've only seen a few of the classic episodes.
I'm not sure why they cut things out...but they definatly did. I've heard a lot of complaints about it from some of my American friends.
Maybe it's for running time issues or something...but I noticed that a lot of the scenes mentioned to be "missing" were Master/Lucy stuff, which I suppose could be deemed too "sexual" if you really want a far stretch.
Other things they removed are just ridiculous...I mean there really isn't a logical explanation for why the "I could make you some grits" quote was cut out of "Sound of Drums"

They really just cut things out so they can show more commercials. The only channel that shows it in America in SciFi which is a cable channel so they want to show more commercials.

Doctor who doesn't even air on BBC America. It's only here on SCI FI(cable channel). which in addition to cutting scenes for commercials, may have a deal with BBC not to show the full episodes. That happens sometimes when companies lease out their shows they don't want the full version released. I've also seen it done when they take big stage shows or musicals off broadway. It has something to do with copyright.
What that is stuped! they made Dr who why cant they show the hole thing! the bbc have endless amounts of cash so why cant they spend it!!!!!!!! sos for the rant :D

I totally agree! I adore the Master! I'm like that with most series! i always end up liking the bad characters better than the good ones. Like Harry Potter I loved Snape, Bellatrix and Voldemort much more than Harry! I'm evil at heart!

Yeah, I heard about that. One of my American mates called me up saying "I thought you said the Master dances all the time?"

Yeah they cut out a lot of stuff when they show them here in America, the only episode that I hink they pretty much left alone was Blink.

I'm not sure why they cut things out...but they definatly did. I've heard a lot of complaints about it from some of my American friends.
Maybe it's for running time issues or something...but I noticed that a lot of the scenes mentioned to be "missing" were Master/Lucy stuff, which I suppose could be deemed too "sexual" if you really want a far stretch.

Other things they removed are just ridiculous...I mean there really isn't a logical explanation for why the "I could make you some grits" quote was cut out of "Sound of Drums"

My brother (he lives in Florida) was overly pissed about their cutting that bit.

They really just cut things out so they can show more commercials. The only channel that shows it in America in SciFi which is a cable channel so they want to show more commercials.

Well, there is that psycho-Harry/Lucy-snog thing...that's what led me to the sexual conclusion...I didn't see the broadcast, so I dunno...I live in England soo...
But they wouldn't cut anything on BBCAmerica would they? Maybe? I dunno...?
Ughhh some of that is just stupid if you ask me.

Doctor who doesn't even air on BBC America. It's only here on SCI FI(cable channel). which in addition to cutting scenes for commercials, may have a deal with BBC not to show the full episodes. That happens sometimes when companies lease out their shows they don't want the full version released. I've also seen it done when they take big stage shows or musicals off broadway. It has something to do with copyright.

being totally ignorant of reality (and living in the states) i'd never heard this song (at least it hadn't moved into my consciousness), and am just catching up on the end of series 3. BUT THIS IS GREAT! thank you for doing it. the exuberance of the song AND simm's performance makes sitting at my desk at work this morning not such a bad thing!

I totally agree! I adore the Master! I'm like that with most series! i always end up liking the bad characters better than the good ones. Like Harry Potter I loved Snape, Bellatrix and Voldemort much more than Harry! I'm evil at heart!

I agree with you HogwartsHonourRoll - the Master was BRILLIANT! Yeah, he was utterly evil, crazy and everything, but God he had a good sense of humour. Sorta.
I feel guilty about it, but my dad called the Doctor Tweety Pie when he was in the cage and I couldn't stop laughing about it.
