Yes I am pretty much danish but i speak swedish and understand 99 % of what swedes says to me, even if it i talkshow in the television so my swedish is quite okay... Its only my spelling in wedish which absolutely sucks ;) And I use ö instead of :O so its a smiley =)
I have 47 of his books, 20 in hardback and 27 in paperback- been collecting for abot ayear. For me Stephen King's best work has to be 'The Shining'- the first SK book i ever read.
It was years since i read that one. Anyway i think i found that story to be more suspensfull than scary. A story from Skelleton crew on the other hand that i found scary was ''The reapers image'' (think thats the english title, only read it in swedish) and Uncle ottos truck was a little chilly in it's own way.
funny that like i said i have never been 'really' scared of horror stories except for that one, to the point that I could not read it again at the age of 33!! sounds silly but true it must strike a certain chord buried deep in my psyche or something in fact when i think about it a friend of mine had a grininig toy monkey when i was very small and i never did like that funny init.
gluepot66: the monkey wasn't scary, it even had a funny ending to it, where when the monkey was thrown into the pond, all the fish died.. that was hilarious.. They got tons of scary short stories in the night shift collection better than skeleton crew collection.
@MB11113 I'm reading the Night Shift right now and find his shorts scarier than his novels (I've also read Everythings Eventual). His novels are better reads though.
I have all The Dark Tower series but I haven't read it yet. I have Eyes of the Dragon, Insomnia, The Bachman Books (the best was The Long Walk!! Excellent!), Desperation, Skeleton Crew, The Stand, It, Dreamcatcher, 'Salem's Lot, Bag of Bones, Needful Things, The Regulators, Pet Sematary and The Talisman.
Please, if you already read The Talisman, tell me a little more about this book. Everyone says it's his best one but I don't know.. Can you help me??
I got The talisman in my collection but only for the reason that it was a gift to me. Im a little skeptical to it. Doesn't seem like my kind of book at al. Will probably give a chance some time in the future. Don't know anything about this book except for the basic premise and that it has a small connection to The tommyknockers. I'll get back to you when i have more to say about it.
Hi dude. Nice collection right there. I posted a video with my own collection a while ago too, and I am a spanish-speaker myself, but I got a lot of english versions too. Perhaps you'd like to take a look at my video. Stay safe dude, see you later.
Great covers! I also love the IT cover for france. If you want to see many covers from many countries, i know a site: stephen king covers. i think there are covers for all of his works, and it's likely to have swedish ones.
The Books I Have Are: The Shining The Stand Desperation Misery Insomnia Geralds Game Firestarter The Dead Zone Needful Things Nightmares & Dreamscapes From A Buick 8 Nice Collection man
Yeah i read different seasons. I don't have a problem with the English versions. I just discovered that i liked the english versions better, a little too late because i've allready purchaced most kings books in swedish. Nowadays i allways buy the english versions of a book if thats its original language.
I love that "Cujo" cover. I don't understand why there would be a birthday cake with candles lit for the "Misery" cover.

The Shining is quite good but I think the best was IT. I read it when I was like 12 and I will never forget that one!

the most genuinly frightening story i ever read was 'the monkey' in skeleton crew. what are your thoughts on that?
