  • Love the video!! Can you install a rollbar in any car or truck?

  • @jacquer17 yes its different for every vehicle. in a unibody car your gonna need extreme bracing for the frame but it can be done in any vehicle.

  • what's the song at 1:12 ?

  • at 5:30

  • what kind of welder is that?

  • @71scooterdude wire fed mig welder probably linclon 125 or higher or miller

  • summit and jegs sells pre bent roll cages you just have to weld them in and your done for like 160 bucks

  • Wish they would have put more videos up. Im just getting into pre runners and was thinkin of build in one within the next couple of years so if anyone know's of any important videos relating to this please tell me. Also what type of welding were they using?

  • @BRENDONYEAHUM well where are you going to be welding? ( indoors, outdoors, windy, dirty) different types of welding do different things. just research.really deppending on the metal they are welding. Cheap roll cages are made by steel (easy metal to come by and more mistake friendly but easy to bend ) professional cages are made by a metal called chromoly (very strong, hard too find a supplier, and somewhat expensive). ask yourself how much is your life really worth before picking your metal.

  • I want a roll bar for the bed of my truck so bad but I can't find them anywhere so I guess you have to build one yourself but I have no skill at all with welding so I guess thats one thing i'll have to live without.

  • are roll cages street legal?I live in New Jersey USA

  • @TCreatorO in australia they are legal provided they're padded with a certain width of foam in the area around the driver/passenger's head.

I know it doesnt answer your question, but in Aus they're pretty strict. so likely yes in the us.

  • @1111Davo1 I did some research and only 4 point rollcages are legal=dissapointment :( I wanted something bigger, maybe 8 point...

  • @TCreatorO ahh ok, better than nothing :)

  • @1111Davo1 yeh..... :(

  • are roll cages street legal?

  • is there anything i should know before i make my own roll cage? i was just ganna weld together segments, do i need to bend the bars? or can i just weld them together at corners

  • @seldian Some people do it differently. I prefer to bend my tubes. I don't like welding corners because the joints are a structure are the most likely point of failure in any given instance. No joint, no problem.

  • @seldian ** "the joints IN a structure" **

  • HEY I live in westminster xD

  • Note I stated fusion welding as these material properties are non desirable attributes in liquid-phase welding but desirable in solid state welding.

  • Some materials respond better to different methods of fusion bonding, both MIG and TIG have their advantages, the HAZ in MIG is beneficial with some microstructures so it is not just a case of mig is for bitches that cant weld equally TIG is not just for alu, alu can be MIG welded too, however its low melting point and high conductivity impede fusion welding.

  • You guy's should've shown how to weld the tubes 360*. Make more vids too.

  • So could you tell me, what a roll cage made from?

  • Comment removed

  • how much would a job like this cost?

  • tig or mig for these.. or gas?

  • either works

  • tigs for aluminum i dont think that having a roll cage of aluminum would be very smart. so it would most likely be mig or stick.

  • youre retarded. Tig isnt just for alum, i know how to tig TI, steel and aluminum.. Mig is only for steel and mig is for bitches that cant weld

  • or the people who can'

    t afford one dumbass.

  • @Alex149 you can mig weld aluminum with an AC mig welder and aluminum wire but you knew that because evidently you know everything

  • You can tig steel too. Tig chro-moly and stainless.

  • if u wanna do it right

  • How do you guys manage to do such good welds in those tight corners.

  • practice.

  • So sick, can anyone tell me where the best place to get a roll cage and a bed cage for my tacoma would be in California?

  • polyproformance in SLO does a good job

  • good stuff, cant wait for the next one

  • Awsome! I like doing this type of work. Please check out 4X4 up a waterfall to see my exocaged 1982 Toyota truggy I made this cage from HEREW tubeing it took me four weekends to construct.
