Barry Bonds is pitching because he is a good pitcher in backyard baseball. Also, the only one in the game that doesn't need juice is Mr. Clanky who you unlock by beating the whole series and winning the playoffs and the championship.

as much as I would agree with you that the AI kind of sucks, it's just as bad using the shadow assist to help you with your offense. try batting without the shadow, and you'll find that this game would be a LOT harder.

Anyway, the 2003 version sucked in general. The voices sounded wrong, and on my copy, the game would stop every time a catch sound was made, even with the buttons.
