  • Very good! This Slingshot is very great. You can get it on jocatapult.de. Its the Model "CataSling".

  • @KissakiSan well said, I have seen shabbabs in Palestine defending their villages from israeli colonists with slings

  • OK ASSHOLE.SLING YOUR ASS AND GO AWAY

  • that looks quite effective.

  • 39 m per hour thats shit sling shot goes faster

  • @1234ledfox it says 39 meters per second dumb ass

  • Imagine if that tarp was a riot cop & your'e a protester!

  • Great slow-mo multi camera angle shooting. Excellent work. Before this I did not really understand Greek Style slinging but now I feel confident that I could get the knack for it with some practice. Thank you for posting!

  • eh, lame. i throw mine over hand and can get more like 70yds.

my brother has thrown one four hundred something feet. so yea, take that

    but good accuracy

  • How hard is it to not hit yourself when doing this? I wanted to learn how to crack a whip and throw with a sling, but I'm worried about smacking myself in the head...

  • @Supermassively In the beginning your hands seem not to listen to you :) It seem it is impossible, but after a while you will be surprised with results. When I started stones were going all over the place I could not trow more than 30 meters, but suddenly with right technique I got more than 100 meters - it was great braking point :)

  • @Supermassively He's definetly right.

  • this is awesome dude, if this hit someone what would the damage be? lol

  • Very interesting movie, and nice shot !

  • TUTORIAL

  • Just put a egg in that..... wait till it's dark...,,happy hunting! not people or animals though. Buildings.

  • lol, use a lead marble and i bet u could kill someone if u hit them just right

  • man i would love to be hit with that :D

  • Wow, that's about 140km/hr or 90mph! I can see how that used to be used as a skirmisher weapon now!

  • So my morning devotion was 1 Sam 17-18. David and Goliath. I wanted to see some sling throwing on youtube. This is what I found. I will be hard pressed to get this image out of my head. The sling throwing is awesome, albeit eclipsed by the fashion apocalypse that this fellow is donning. I can only guess that a little girl somewhere is missing a top from her closet and a 6 year old boy is missing his jeans and a soldier is walking around bootless.

  • @checkthegates Yeah, but you don't need to look cool w/ skills like that. :)

  • @checkthegates Yes, this is the most lethal wearer of 'Capri' pants in the western world!

Of course, I'll only mock him from 'beyond effective range'....

  • The sling throwing is awesome, albeit eclipsed by the fashion apocalypse that this fellow is donning.

  • Nice shooting!!!

I have shot rocks at 45 m/s, but at the 10 meter mark.

  • Yes there are some gifted people who spend years practicing to throw a baseball.

Yet anyone can learn to trow a 150g rock to 150meters and more with a piece of string and leather.

That was the point of the video :)

  • Try pitching all day. Buddy here could keep hurling for hours, non-stop.

  • Yes, some of the best in the world can throw faster, but that's maybe a couple hundred people at most.

  • what's with the capris pants

  • crap

  • The Arabs do have slings.............

Please do some research before you make stupid comments in the future. Thanks.

  • I've seen videos of Palestinians using slings to throw stones at Israelis during riots. Also, slings have been used since at least Biblical times.

Third world creature? Your just a bigot.

  • lol, the arabs wer actually fairly advanced in warfare, as well as other fields of technology you idiot

  • @ThisIsWar14

You best be trolling. The Middle-East is one of the very few regions where the sling is still being used to this day. (Look up the "Israeli-Palestinian Conflict." The Palestinians frequently have nothing better than slings to combat the encroaching Israelis.)

  • It's good to see someone use a sling the right way. He's not whirling the sling 'round and 'round his head then releasing, it's almost like a baseball pitch. There's form and follow-through. Very quick and the rock is slung with devastating force and accuracy. If I had some land, I'd want to practice with a sling as well, then there's that atlatl I've been viewing as well.......

  • с левой руки?! молодчик!! браво!

  • спасибо :)

  • @klim00100 Haha, "браво". That's awesome. Seems like a lot of Russian words sound exactly like their foreign equivalents.

  • NICE 5/5 CAN U MAKE A VIDEO OF U MAKING IT

  • not bad has any one besides me beaten 345 yards? im useing 2 foot long leather bands and a unique throw style that is a combo of the roman and over hand throwing styles

  • I think i did, how high in altitude were you to sling that far with that short of a sling? I have a 13 foot (total length) sling and slung really far at 9000 feet above sea level.

  • i think i am 7560' above sea level

  • I threw an orange 300m (apprx) with 4 shoe laces and a hand towel lol. I used a discus style technique..accuracy is ok, but god its fun.. =D

  • @drakenxithrevic What kind of ammo? With lead glandes it's not that hard to do

  • hey, thanks for the slow mo in the begginging, i could figure out how to (finnaly) do greak style

  • excelent shots, greatest respect!!!!!

  • really impressive dude.

  • what kind of projectile is he using in this video?

  • Simple stone 100-120 grams

  • Nice form!

Ever get smacked in the back of the head? lol...

  • Historically, slingers were used in combat. The stones would shatter bone on impact taking people out of the fight.

  • any tips

  • imagine that stone hitting you, that´s gonna knock you out 100 %

  • could kill you, saw this on Deadliest Warrior.

  • That's pretty impressive. It's roughly 81 miles an hour (130 KMH). That would hurt like hell when you consider that's roughly the speed of a BB Gun and you realize it is a rock coming toward you.

  • nice shot bad clothes lol

  • that dudes sikkkkk

  • pretty damn cool video ! ! ! . . .i chucked an orange out into the parking lot of the complex where i live (about 2 in the morning i might add). . .the spot where i was aiming the nearest car was about 50 feet away . . i slung it out there . . the wind got a hold of it and WHAM ! ! ! . . right on the roof of my neighbors van, sounded like a gunshot, people came running out ! ! ! . . .lolol . . .scared the hell out of me, no more oranges ! ! !

  • how did you make that??

  • wat a shot

  • hey whats the farthes they can go

  • If I'm not mistaken the current world record shot for slinging is about 1500 feet. But that's a different shot entirely (I'm going to guess underhand). Unfortunately that's entirely inaccurate and it's power comes entirely from falling.

The shot he's using goes a fair distance less but makes up for it with accuracy and power. That's why a lot of people use it for target shooting. Err, hope that helped.

  • ha, UNDERHAND????for 1500 ft???? you have got to be mistaken!! underhand is an accurate and short distance shot, not for long distance. For long distance, the best tecniqe is to spin your whole body around with the sling.(Btw it is possible to sling and still hit somthing that you aim at (or atleast the general area)with a long distance shot.....)

  • @ShawnSamLeahUsername Sorry, man, but underhand is normally for distance shots, because it gives you a high trajectory. The Romans used Balearic slingers to fling stones into massed formations before the battle was met, and at that long distance they used an underhand throw.

  • @ruebuscm Don't assume that underhand is the best distance method, its not. I posted a video recently of THE best distance method for slinging, no other method will provide better distance than pirouette.

  • @ShawnSamLeahUsername Oh, no, I don't mean to say that underhand is the best distance method. I was just saying that underhand is ideal for high, plunging shots, and those high angle shots tend to get a lot of distance. A high angle sidearm would probably go farther, though, because more velocity can be gotten than with underarm.

  • nice job.

  • TIGHT PANTS!
