i would like to try making string earring. Can u tell how can i get the wire that is around the hoop, and what website can i go to see how the thread is wrapped.
Ive been wanting to learn how to make these forever but dont know how to start, I bought think wire etc but maan wish I cud take a class on it, any tipe message me plz :)
i gought a something called a coiling gizmo on ebay. It helps to make the coiled wire to wrap the thread arround. If you search string art pendant on youtube there's a video showing how to make these. Its not as easy ay it looks though. I just unwrap the thread off a pair I bought then rewrap with whatever colors I want to wear. Much easier. Hope that helps.
All you have to do is coil wire around whatever size mandrel you want to make the basic coil frame. You will need to find a thinner wire. The coils arent already made you have to make the coils by hand. I usually get my supplies from this guy at the flea market that sales jewelry supplies.
