@1050bmw Two reasons... If you know what the DT is for a racquet the minute you take it off the machine then... Next time you string that racquet for that client, you can take the DT again and compare. Assuming same string, same tension, same racquet, the DT should be the same - assuming u are doing things properly and producing a consistent string job for your client. This lets u know if you are doing a quality job as a stringer and thus producing a consistent bed 4 your client time after time.
@1050bmw Also... You can take the DT when it comes off the machine and then again after several hours of play. A simple calculation of (Current DT - Starting DT) / Starting DT will let you know the percentage decrease in tension. It will help you (or clients) know when to re-string. Hope this helps. Let me know if more questions.
Why is the camera shaking all over the place?! Hold the camera still or fix it to a tripod - there is no need for the camera to move to follow the racquet. Very amateur!
@Tony07UK Thanks for your kind comment - very much appreciated. My young kids were filming for me, and they couldn't keep it still. If you watch any of my videos from the past several months, you will notice that the shaking is gone - as my kids no longer help film, and I use a tripod. But I really don't need to explain or justify anything to you. Its simple... Don't watch my videos.

@Tony07UK Watch any of my videos from the past several months - the shaking is gone. I "fired" my young kids as my videographers and instead use a tripod. Thanks for the comment - your kindness is overwhelming.
Great review, David! You can get this tool for just $170 now at TheTennisDepot (dot com). I did a video review of the RacketTune (dot com) iPhone app, and for $0.99 the average player can check for tension loss quickly. The tension numbers there also do not always match those on the stringing machine, but I just focus on the *amount* or *percentage difference*.
@JCTennisPro Thanks for the comment and additional information about the price of the ERT 300 at The Tennis Depot. Also, thanks for the video responses about RacketTune. Take care Man.
@jesoby Thanks for the information. I have a worldwide viewing audience :-) so I am sure some folks in the UK will appreciate your comment. Take care.
David Im a stringer, so why is it important to know the dynamic tension of your string?
