  • Great to see a miraculous outcome!

    My novice's guess is

fuel starvation from a problem with the valves closing to restrict fuel flow/closure of vents that allow air in to the tanks/computer programming that took precedence over the manual

controls/vapor lock in the fuel lines in addition to the theory of ice formation in the fuel.

(Take down those hazardous posts at the front of the runway!)

  • the flight attendant at 4:04 is fucking hott

  • Still my favorite aircraft

  • My aunt who lives in Romford was coming to visit her parents (my grandparents) here in Finland, and she was on the airport waiting for her flight when this happened.

  • :o

  • This is the reason I tsake 2mg Ativan before and have 2 or 3 drinks during the flight!

  • cant just land on grass jeez its not like he hit a pole

  • Comment removed

  • because it puts you in Portuguese?

  • This is an Airbus A330 or A340 cabin. Look at the overhead panels and where the air conditioning is!

  • well fucking done pilot!!!!

  • If you do not wanna know what happens the go to 1:00

  • @Ryanieman woooow you're an idiot!

  • @Ryanieman It's called a reconstruction.

  • 5:09 Fuel temp -20.0C at 500Ft? what the hell. and look and the airspeed indicator showing over 350. The accuracy in this program bugs me a lot.

  • The British Airways pilots are great. See also All engines failed. Cool guys, I trust in them

  • Boeing sucks! AIRBUS FOREVER!

  • @Sonicx5698 you mean scarbus? no thanks!

  • omg this crash would be my nightmare.....

im an aircraft maintainer specializing in flight controls, landing gear and crash recovery -_-

  • OMG! is the Boeing-777-200ER okay?

  • sorry 2:55

  • is that the same airplane from turkish 1951 2:25

  • British Airways rocks

  • Is that what a real 777 cockpit looks like?

  • why the hell did i watch this if im travelling after 2 weeks?

  • thx for uploading ;)

  • I'm flying next week on the same route...shouldnt have watched this.

  • i didnt know they had a show like this. Thanks. Hope you upload more.

  • short landing...

  • @bslgeorge dont worry, theyve solved it.

  • I really shouldn't watch these shows considering I'm flying in 2 weeks -__-

  • @xshortxbutxoxwellx im flying in a week, i knew i shouldnt have watched this aswell lol

  • @CoolcatNatNat44 Me too :|

  • @xshortxbutxoxwellx yup... getting on a plane in about 2 hrs.... bad idea..

  • @Javeho are you alive?

  • cool

  • ok i see ALL episodes of this show and my conclusion is:

Air France it's the worst air company in the world

  • I think the pilots should of announced for the passengers to brace, but then I am not a pilot nor have I been in a life threatening situation that makes my mind not think straight. They did an excellent job.

  • What channel is this on anyone Know?

  • @modfon654 National Geographic

  • 4:08, did he say coward?

  • @mustang19ms yes John coward the senior officer

  • I agree.

  • Why didn't the captain call to the cabin for a crash landing?

  • @RapierMedia Not enough time. Priority one for a pilot is to "Fly the Airplane" Declaring emergency, calling cabin, etc is all secondary.

  • @RapierMedia If you read the actual AAIB reports (in the public domain) you will find that the time interval between the first intimation of "involuntary rollback" and touchdown was actually just 34 seconds. I think the grew did an amazingly good job under those circumstances...

  • "what do you mean?" I THINK ITS PRETTY BLOODY CLEAR

  • Three? Doesn't the Boeing 777 only need two pilots

  • @MegaEvilToaster ya 2 pilot one navigater

  • @MegaEvilToaster The third pilot is a relief pilot because its a long flight

  • So the engines failed and the ride suddenly gets rough on the co-pilot (FO) side only? what the heck was with him shaking the yoke like that. Some of the dumbest acting I have seen in a long time!

  • @skyhawk5265 It's the stall alarm... -.-

  • @CaptainKorhonen That's quite the stick shaker then! :)

  • the pilots are hot. -

by the way, is there only one air hostess on board this long haul flight?

  • Thanks

  • thx for the video :)

  • i am addicted to air crash investigation! this series is sooo intreseting!

  • @7073gymchick But after watching too many of it I dare not fly on an aircraft any more!

  • 0:29 airbus A318 :D

  • @ass23ful I hate it when they do this. How hard can it be to get a clip of a BA 777 arriving at Heathrow? :p

  • @Zezkus yeah

  • This plane makes the A380 look like a piece of shit.

  • @kennyduong1 thay are boing is the beter company

  • i obviously dont want to fly on one of the safest planes in the industry -_o

  • the gimli glider at the near end! ^_^ <3

  • Go to 0:33 for a New-Zealand accent

Go to 9:50 for an Irish accent

Go to 10:02 for an American accent

Go to 14:01 for an English accent

Go to 14:04 for a Russian accent (listen to "manually")

How many nationalitites does Captain Burkhill have???

  • @Homerard he's a pilot, i guess he picks up his accents at souvenirs everywhere he lands

  • @Homerard I think the actor is trying to show his range lol... just incase the casting director for james bond is watching! =-D

  • @Homerard hahah

  • @Homerard best comment so far on this vid

  • @Homerard They made arabic accent for Turkish pilots in another episode. I also hate this.

  • @Homerard I guess he has 5...

  • @Homerard I hear none of these accents. I hear ... perhaps slightly South African.... consistently through all of the times you point out. My parents (and most of my relitaves) are from New Zealand. 0:33 is deftinatley NOT a New Zealand accent.

  • @Homerard Your'e right mate. Noticed the kiwi and yarpy stuff too. The actor did a good job but.

  • I think pilot's fucked up that 777

  • Chinese did'nt fill it up properly, not enough gas !

  • that was a SAS MD 80 at 5:50

  • that was a SAD MD 80 at 5:50

  • ARGH TOO MANY LENS FLARES

  • Could you , please, tell me how you got the plans ?

  • arr those lens flares are so friken annoying in this episode

  • I was on this plane

  • @importedmusic omg really.how old were you> :( xx

  • 35% power? Not as bad as 0.0% from both engines

  • @bvestationfan 35% of power is idle.

  • I remember wehn this happend

  • Has anyone else realised that the interior of the plane is not Boeing's Signature Interior? Pause at 3:28.

  • "coward took control

  • I loled at "10 mins

  • 10:08

  • Can anybody tell me what our the timmings of this programme in india

  • nice crash

subrat was the pilots name of that flight he died!!

  • nice crash

    subrat

  • You sir and your crew are the best pilots in the World to make those life and crash decisions God Bless You!

  • its scary to be a pilot

  • @Gencturk92 yeah your right.its REALLY SCARY!

  • 01:02 if u dont want to know what will hapen

  • good pilot, a bad flight but still lucky landing considering the scale of the problem. thank you for uploading.

  • NICE SAFE FOR UPLOAD

  • thanks for the upload

  • well, I may be a laymen but to me it seems like the captain made a series of decisions that inevitably saved a lot of innocent lives.

  • I thought the Boeing 777-200 had (2-4-2) seating configuration ?

  • @TheBostonFamily It depends on the airline. Some airlines configure them like that.

  • The next episode will be about a plane that blew out a tyre

  • If you know what's good for you, you'll stay calm when the shit hits the fan. That's what they teach pilots from the start. Panic paves the way to bad karma.

  • This is one of the worst Air Crash Investigation's ever! The actors seem very relaxed and slow to react.

  • apparently 10 passengers tried to sue boeing for this!

  • Isn't this the one where the pilot got royally screwed over by BA even though he essentially saved everyone?

  • Why are the BA pilots being played by aussies?

  • @shaunsprogress I believe the show is produced in Australia.

  • Comment removed

  • yes thankies for the upload :)

  • They don't die and crash just a teeny bit before the runway

  • THATS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT READ THE COMMENTS SECTION BEFORE WATCHING AN EPISODE OF AIR CRASH... COZ SOONER OR LATER SOMEONE WILL GIVE THE PLOT AWAY ...

  • @pogogal17 yeah or start a bible fight

  • *gasp!* I have only just moved near Heathrow! I hope I dont have a Boeing 777 land on my roof!

  • omg a new ACI? omg a new mystery for me to solve.

  • World's Top 10 Airlines 1. Asiana Airlines 2. Singapore Airlines 3. Qatar Airways 4. Cathay Pacific 5. Air New Zealand 6. Etihad Airways 7. Qantas Airways 8. Emirates 9. Thai Airways 10. Malaysia Airlines Singapore Airlines FTW =)
  • @thrawn80 there is no 777-200ER I think 777-200LR is there and 777-300ER, and the 200LR have fly range more then 300ER I think so correct me if I'm mistaking

  • @foozooljalal there IS a 777-200ER.

  • it's not an engine failure dammit... an engine failure won't indicate idle or near-idle N1s - that is around 20-30%

The engine went near-idle, they didn't exactly fail. There was still fuel being supplied, even though very restricted.

  • Quantas until the A380 incident was the best

  • thats not a 777 interior :p

    seats in 777 are 3 - 4 - 3

  • @foozooljalal most of the 777s are 3-4-3 but layouts can be configurable. Moreover, this is a 200ER variant, here're some numbers:

    301 (3-class)

    400 (2-class)

    440 (maximum)

    source: wikipedia

On top of that i think the 200ER variant MAY not be having the signature interior as well...

  • Comment removed

  • @thrawn80

You got two things wrong here:

    1) most 777s are NOT in 3x4x3. In fact, very few airlines have 772ERs in that config. Most of the 3x4x3 birds are 773ERs, and even then, they're still not a majority.

    2) Um, the 777 was the aircraft that INTRODUCED the Signature Interior, lol. So of course all of them, including the 772ER, have it.

  • @ImmortalSynn

    1) icic, i bet u fly around in 777s much much more i guess.

    2) i was referring to the cabin in the show - unless i remembered wrongly, but it doesn't look like signature to me...

  • @thrawn80

ANSWER TO 1) Not sure what relevance you seem to believe that that has to the topic at hand, but probably do anyways, so I guess the issue's moot.

ANSWER TO 2) Again, since the 777 *launched* the Signature Interior, and as such all of them feature it and *only* it.... then you apparently don't know what a "signature" looks like. lol

  • @ImmortalSynn Erm... whatever, i was referring to the show. I know how the signature cabin looks like and i think i've flown enough to distinguish. So yeah. have a nice day.

  • @thrawn80

So then you just enjoy asking idiotic questions for the fun of it?

...y'know, "thanks for the reminder that all 777s have the signature interior" would've saved a lottttttttt more face than this (rather pathetic) attempt! lol

  • @ImmortalSynn At least I knew my manners.

  • British Airways = THE BEST AIRLINE EVER!!!!

  • @MegaMaster456 The best airline is Quantas

  • @TheMsHeartBreaker94 Nah The best airline in the world right now that has been ranked by skytrax is Asiana airline

  • Very good PA for British Airways.

  • no casualties. surprising.

  • seems as though BA were wanting a crash situation to highlight their plight.

  • Aircraft are becoming safer and safer like the hudson river incident, thats y I love em!

  • @00:32 nd onwards u see tht the plane luks lyk an A321..its the corner of the wing tht makes it luk lyk tht nd if u pause the plane size iz much smaller thn the B777..the A310,319,320 nd 321 hve the cornr of the wing lyk tht nt the B777..

  • Thanks for Uploading mate!

  • that could of flew over my house

  • no wonder they crashed, look at those blinding lens flares

  • @priyonjoni that and their bad british teeth produce far more drag than most streamlined American Air

  • @Kamikuru77 A fairly predictable xenophobic insult, but still strangely funny.

  • @priyonjoni its from the cabin lights

  • @lyianx I was being sarcastic, those lens flares are digitally added to add dramatic realistic depth. the star trek movie is a great example of its overuse.

  • OMG! I love you! Thank's a bunch for uploading!

  • overall i think it was one of the hardest investigations in the history of ACI - how clever of them to suss out ice was the problem

  • @pogogal17

Oh bloody hell; spoiler alert please!..

  • @MayoDK you DIDN'T know the plane was gonna crash? The show is called Air CRASH investigation....

  • @pogogal17 pleaaaaase.... we don't need to know that up front. I have no incentive of watching this show now...

  • @t2shar SORRY I RUINED THE SUSPENSE... :(

  • amazing episode- but didnt excite me as much as previous episodes

  • That was a great split second choice by the pilot

  • I have flown a couple times and its fun as hell, but watching this is scary, even though the chances are slim

  • Bedankt voor de aflevering Jonge

  • i guess cineflex should make a better simulation next time of the cabin of the 777 im sure that the seats aremt arranged 2-3-2 as 777 is wide enough to have a 3-3-3 arrangement in the economy section and it a lot wide since i have been in one myself before.

  • THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR UPLOADING ABSOLUTLY LOVE THIS SHOW KEEP EM COMING !

  • Many thanks for posting this janwillemdej !!!

This plane just missed myself and my then girlfriend as we were in traffic at the lights at the back of Hatton Cross station, when it came over it was at an odd angle with its nose tilting up to the left, we just thought it had been caught in a cross wind as was a very windy day, didnt realise what had really gone on ???

    Scary stuff !!!!

  • YES!!!

    THANK YOU FOR THIS.

    DONT FORGET THE OTHERS!!!!

  • OMG a new series!!! Thanks for the upload

  • thanks amazing episode

  • I just love the background voice..Neither Discovery nor any on else' crash investigation has the voice like that...coulld any body tell me the name of that person...

  • thankyou so so so much for this! :)

  • I love you!

  • Its baaaaack! Man thank you so much for uploading this you made my day!

  • good vid, r u going 2 be uploading more season 10 episodes?

  • Very short time (less than 30 seconds?) to react for the emergency situation, but the captain DID do the good job!

  • *Orgasm*

  • thanks for uploading.
