i believe that when lara got traped she found another way to get out by an underground tunnel or something like that...A good way to imagine Lara getting out of there is to download Tomb Raider Level Editor (TRLE) and play the taturial level
I really didn' like the way she looked in the CG rendered cutscenes in this game. Somehow she looked almost like a monkey in the face in this game. Thankfully she looks more human now in TR Underworld.
In one of the cutscenes from Angel of Darkness we see Lara angrily saying to Von Croy something like "Egypt, Verner, you left me!", so we can only assume that she survived and Von Croy just left her there.
Also the ending cutscene from Chronicles has Von Croy holding Lara's backpack saying "We've found her", i presume alive as this then led on to Angel of Darkness.
Yeah, all true. But, I found it very hard to believe that she survived that fall and with all the stones tumbling down o her. There's no way a human can withstand that.
But yeah, it was Core's decision I guess. Still kind of odd.
@TheBigLT I wonder why he'd leave her there. After she was entombed, and he spent all those days digging her up, why would he just leave her there? When she says "Egypt, Werner, you walked away and left me", that kinda confused me. Maybe she was unconscious and they believed her to be dead so he left her. Perhaps it was all a misunderstanding. Why would he just take her backpack? There was nothing that would've been of use to him, other than the amulet to refree Set.
@FooFooCuddliePoops In a sense it was probably full circle irony. Lara had to leave Werner in Cambodia when she was sixteen, Werner was bitter towards her as a result, and when the situation's reversed years later (Werner having to run when the tomb was about to collapse), Lara could be somewhat bitter towards him
@FooFooCuddliePoops I think she was separated from her backpack or just leaved it as something heavy, and took only the amulet as something important... And as Werner was searching for her, they found only the backpack. And, it can be possible, that she somehow used the power of amulet to escape (and as she was reading it 1 time, she put down backpack, so she could do it the same while trying to use amulet). Anyway, she escaped by herself, and Werner was digging in wrong place or too slow. ...
@TheBigLT But even then, I don't think she had the amulet (I mean I never checked the inventory XD) the Amulet was used to seal Set inside the tomb, so I doubt she had it.
I couldn't leave youuuu! *leaves*
