5. you can also slide your hands down, wrap it around the waist, lift your opp. on your shoulders and slam him down. You gotta fast in doing this, and strong too.
Are you kidding me? Double underhooks is a position preferred by a lot of fighters especially wrestlers, because
1. you can control your opponents body
2. it puts you in a position to take the opponent down by a leg trip.
3. you can land good knees to the thighs and sternum
4.one of the best ways to counter a MT clinch
Of course the underhook itself can be countered as shown here, but depending on how well it is used it can be really helpful. Again mostly preferred by wrestlers.
Well as always the best defense is not to let your opponent get double underhooks in the first place. But chances are if the guy can get off a front suplex on you, then he's a stud and he'll get that off on whether you defend it or not. The way I would try to defend it is don't let his hips touch your hips and get out of those underhooks quick or you're going for a ride!
Great video, if you don't lock your hands together when you get double underhooks, is it ok to grab the lats instead and still achieve takedowns?

ever heard of a front suplex?
hexkwondo 3 years ago
no. what is it?

Look up Chris Taylor on youtube and you will see the most beautiful front suplex ever executed. Not joking at all
hexkwondo 3 years ago
Well that was spectacular. The winner's head hit first, though. :\ So, defense for front suplex against double underhook is not easy?
