  • i just love this song

  • The middle section especially has a better metric balance than the Manfred Mann version. And I like the second middle statement as an instrumental.

Paul Jones did a very credible cover, however.

  • Very nice.

  • Wow!!! It sounds great. Definitely a case of the original being far superior to subsequent releases.

  • .. Far superior to the Manfred Mann version.. But this was also 1963/64.. This country only wanted "British" .. Many, many great R&B recordings were eclipsed and buried by those chaps! Such is the business and such is life, eh?!

  • "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" is a song written by Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich and originally recorded in 1963 by the American vocal group The Exciters. In 1964, it was covered by British R&B, Beat and pop band Manfred Mann. Manfred Mann's version, which was more commercially successful, was recorded on June 11, 1964, released on July 10 and spent two weeks number one in the UK Singles Chart in August and two weeks at the number one spot in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in October.

  • Whoa! Sing it girl!

  • ACE!!!

  • oh no...now you've kicked me off singing at 2.30am in the morning...lol...nice share...xx
