  • pure quality

  • a great indiepop song - and would have stood up well in the roster of songs by the likes of the Velvet Underground, Rolling Stones (I can really imagine Jagger singing this in fact), or the Smiths.

  • Lawrence didn't want to make it. He wanted to make the music that he wanted to make, and thank the Lord for that!

  • f**k making it

  • Bit Velvets....Bit Pastels... Bit Yo La Tengo....Bit FELT

  • @1doctoma FELT were a world of their own-sure theres A 'wee'' VU- Beatles 66-Television''' thing'', but mostly its them from 79-91 ten albums in ten years..I love the Pastels.but both bands were coming inat the same time Yo le tango Came way after Felt and I myself think YLT are unoriginal band who have made a life outta copying ideas from other indie bands. FELT= ARE Oringinal with GREAT LPS .bands like Pavement etc.should bend at the knees an kiss the ground when FELT Sounds are about .

  • Greatest song ever

  • Masterpiece. Brilliant.

  • GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD

  • rambling bullshit - people can't understand why lawrence never made it - listen to this and you will know why

  • @cinedores you've been hanging out with those jesus freaks again, haven't you?

  • @cinedores implying that 'making it' is any measure of how good your music is...

  • best song ever. FACT

  • " where you been aint seen you for weeks youve been hangin out with those jesus freaks" best opening line to any song ever and what follows is even better can pop ever be this good again ? dont think so

  • @dermot51 : nothing will ever be that good, you're right.

  • a fuckin pop classic pure class

  • why do Steven Malkmus and Pavement get massive but this remains obscure? No justice

  • @emile235 .. yeah Pavement are nothing ..'' FELT forever

  • this is wonderful, from the 'pictorial jackson review' as I recall.. one of the best albums of its era in my opinion

  • @120tiger actually this was released as only a single. but i agree that the pictorial jackson review is a great album.

  • e hopper is so 2013

  • lol Maurice didn't even know Lawrence was talking about him when they would rehearse this song. I don't think he was listening...

  • @Champmathieu : yep.

I have a live version with Deebank ,& his guitar work on this song just didn't fit (incredible!)
