They don't score by round in the amateurs, they score by points. The fighter in the red corner won because he landed scoring punches.

Unbelievable, the punching bag won the fight. Its pretty sad when these judges pull off obvious robberies on kids and get away with it. The blue kid is clearly the better fighter and landed 3Xs the amount of punches. This is just wrong!

@MultiGreat1 - I agree. When you throw flurries like the blue kid did, the judges will give you 1 point if you landed anything and if you got the best of it. The kid in the red had a better strategy - he only threw what he could land and only when he was sure the judges could see it land. You can't blame the scoring system - the fighters should know how these bouts are scored and they should adapt their styles accordingly. (It's called winning). The red kid did, the blue kid didn't.

Then I understand why you think Ricky won. The bottom line is USA Boxing wanted Ricky to be a qualifer for the 2012 box offs. I have known Victor since he fought my Nephew in 2005 and he will stop this guy next time they fight

One of the biggest robberies in the tournament ....the most messed up point system in boxing makes you hate boxing from these kid of results
