When my dog was a pup and he pissed inside the house we would leave him outside for a couple miutes. Like a cold time out. Not 10 minutes not even 5 but for a couple minutes. Thanks for doing that. It's sad how many people treat animals like they're material possessions instead of living beings. You most likely saved that puppy's life. Just make sure your neighbors never find out you have him. If you don't report them for animal abuse they may be able to charge you with stealing their pet. However, even if you do report them no one would probably do anything and you would be forced to return the dog, and I highly doubt you want that to happen.
