Who cares about religion? Religion shouldn't define who we are. Dexter is an awesome show, and who cares if this show upsets religious people. Believe in what you may, but don't complain about this show. Who is even 100% sure that a higher power exists? Nobody, and that's why I am an atheist.

@grant11102 As a Buddhist,coming from a family with least 10 generations of Buddhists on each side, I can tell you that Buddhism is not in fact an Atheist religion; there is an inherent indifference to God or gods in Buddhism but whether that means believing in the existence of a God, agnosticism or atheism is up to the individual. Also many Buddhist sects, including some Theravada, actually incorporate local deities into Buddhism as "converted" guardians of Dharma. Making Buddhism semideistic.

Unlike other religions we don't attack others who believe in something different.
We live and let live, you can believe in what ever as long as it doesn't affect me or my life.
These trolls do NOT represent how atheists feel, just like the fundamentalist Christians on this don't represent the majority of Christians.

Well i guess you could see it like that.
But as u can see from the Context, it wasn't said in an aggressive tone or even a passive aggressive tone, it was a factual statement pointing out that atheists don't attack others for their beliefs.
Where as its a fact, through history that entire wars have been fought in the name of faith.
So really it wasn't an attack, it was just a short, summarised statement that atheists are peaceful and respectful to others regardless of religion.

In an episode of South Park where Cartman goes to the future there is no religion, yet there is constant war between different groups of atheists who call themselves by different names. A person can be an atheist and also be an asshole. In addition, I've met many atheists who consider themselves superior to others because they don't believe. Most atheists I've met, including myself, don't behave like that, but please don't make sweeping declarations like the one I quoted. Atheists are just as prone to faults.

@grant11102 As a Buddhist,coming from a family with least 10 generations of Buddhists on each side, I can tell you that Buddhism is not in fact an Atheist religion; there is an inherent indifference to God or gods in Buddhism but whether that means believing in the existence of a God, agnosticism or atheism is up to the individual. Also many Buddhist sects, including some Theravada, actually incorporate local deities into Buddhism as "converted" guardians of Dharma. Making Buddhism semideistic.

The reason I disagree is because attacking others for what they believe has nothing to do with being affiliated with a religion, it is solely based on the individual's character. There's a really good argument against the death penalty for serious criminals, and there's a great argument for it:
anti-dp: You're going to kill someone to show that killing is wrong? hyprocrisy.
pro-dp: a teenager murdered his parents to throw a house party; his friends found the bodies and called the police. Yeah, that person really doesn't need to exist anymore, let alone take up $30K a year in prison for the rest of his life.
