Can't fault the keeper for the last goal - when you're one on one with one of the greatest players ever and he's already scored five goals, there's a certain sort of grim inevitability about it...
Though he wasn't particularly humble in later life, I like his humility in this game. When the goals he scored were important earlier in the game you can see the enjoyment he and the team got from them. But as soon as it is apparent that by scoring further goals it is humiliating fellow professionals Best is totally humble about scoring yet another. He almost hangs his head in shame when the latter goals go in in the same way a golfer would beating a novice or a tennis player beating his son 6-0
Not sure if my memory serves me, but I believe this was his first game back after being in jail for six weeks. He promised to score one goal for ever week he was away. And he did exactly that.
Not sure about jail.....he was certainly suspended or out of action. I was the snotty nose kid with the claret/marroon rattle in row 6 or so of the Kop for the last 4 goals.
Maradona good, Pele better, George BEST!

Excellent memories, wonderful to watch George even against hapless opposition, thanks for posting - have downloaded it kept in my Bestie folder.

Nobody seems to congratulate him on some of the goals, and he looks dejected even after scoring, especially after the 6th one. Strange times..
