God does not claim to have been transformed into something that we can see therefore your example is not even close to following his logic. If the bread and wine are literally changed only not in appearance then they yet would have the texture and taste of flesh and blood.
Transubstantiation is silly for various reasons, but it's amusing when Christians who aren't adherents of it ridicule it because its claim doesn't match the empirical evidence. Your holy book says that anyone "in Christ...is a new creation," that "the old is gone, the new has come" (2 Cor 5:17). Look at a person the day before and the day after she converts to Christianity: no visible difference. But I bet you believe the invisible change (the "new creation") is as real as anything you can see.

When the priest celebrates a Catholic mass, he invites the Holy Spirit to come down and bless the gifts of bread and wine... The presence of the Holy Spirit in these gifts is mystical, but real since the HS is also Christ in spirit. Christ himself said - do this in memory of me - at the Last Supper. Even Luther never denied that Christ was present at MAss. So why all this foolishness over traditions which are based on the Bible? Christ is the ONLY Judge, not you Protestants okay!!

If we take this a step further following this logic, If one can't see God, therefore He does not exist. I'm presuming this person is an Atheist since he only believes in materialistic explanations. In truth explaining the real presence in the eucharist is difficult and no explanation even transubstantiation does it justice, just as trying to explain the Trinity seems illogical. If this guy is a fundamentalist then I will under his simple nature of explaining things to the already converted.

Transubstantiation is silly for various reasons, but it's amusing when Christians who aren't adherents of it ridicule it because its claim doesn't match the empirical evidence. Your holy book says that anyone "in Christ...is a new creation," that "the old is gone, the new has come" (2 Cor 5:17). Look at a person the day before and the day after she converts to Christianity: no visible difference. But I bet you believe the invisible change (the "new creation") is as real as anything you can see.

When the priest celebrates a Catholic mass, he invites the Holy Spirit to come down and bless the gifts of bread and wine... The presence of the Holy Spirit in these gifts is mystical, but real since the HS is also Christ in spirit. Christ himself said - do this in memory of me - at the Last Supper. Even Luther never denied that Christ was present at MAss. So why all this foolishness over traditions which are based on the Bible? Christ is the ONLY Judge, not you Protestants okay!!

You are mistaken in stating that this is only an RC belief. Lutherans (see Luther's catechism) and Episcopalians/Anglicans accept Real Presence but without the elaborate philosophical formula that Acquinas(using the pagan Aristotle as a guide) used to explain it.
We accept the very same texts you quote, and in the old days a warning was preached to Episcopalians about to recieve Communion not to do so if in sin. You are correct however about all "low church" types like Baptists not accepting it

The Church uses the Aristotelian philosophical definitions of substance and accidents, not the common dictionary definition.
You have deceived your viewers. The Church does not teach that the physical structure of the bread and wine changes. That is called transformation. Transubstantiation teaches that the fundamental being of the host changes.
In other words, its physical appearance remains the same while the being itself has changed.
Do some research next time.

jesus' death on the cross redeemed us all. but in order for the redemption to be applied , you must have valid baptism , eucharising the family , confession. ect. its like handing a starving persons sandwiches. if they dont apply it , eat it they will starve. its the same sacrifice on the cross, above time and space being re lived for us. unless you eat and drink of me you will have no life.

Redeeming a soul from hell is one of the many majesties of God. Consider this: Jesus said that if anyone had faith the size of a mustard seed they could basically relocate mountains. Would you try to argue with Jesus about how it would be geographically impossible? I would hope not.

Christianstudents, please realize that while the mystery of transubstantiation may be hard to digest, it really shouldn't be. God sent His only begotten Son as a redeemer for our sins. Therefore, everytime we receive the body and blood of Jesus during our lifetime, we are telling Him, "Yes, I believe that you are Christ. Thank you for dying so that we may live."

If that were the case, then why did people walk away from Jesus in disgust when he said that they must eat his flesh and drink his blood. His apostles even asked Jesus if he was serious. Jesus only replied "Will you leave also?" He didn't say "No.,,no..let me clear up your misunderstanding!". Hey, I thought evangelicals read their bibles!

uhhh... first off, where is that stated in scripture? Second, even metaphorically in Aramaic, to eat was to "beat up or spit on"... so if he was talking metaphorically, then only to you, right? And when the Catholic Church put the Canon of the Bible together (the one you use), called it infallible (because why is it infallible christainstudent?), they professed Jesus in the Eucharist. Lastly, where the heck in the Bible it say that it alone is the only authority?

The reason you don't BELIEVE is because you don't have the gift of Faith from God above.
The words that Jesus speaks are of Spirit & Life. The only way that you will believe is if you have Spirit and life. It is apparant that you don't have that yet. But I will pray for you that God gives you the gift of Faith to believe that God humbled Himself so much & He loves us so much that He became our TRUE Food & TRUE Drink so that we may live.

The Priest standing "in persona Christi" changes the bread & wine to the Body & Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. And the way he does it is by the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT. It is NOT a magic trick that the Priest has to perform. That is they way that you are putting this.
