  • Wow I haven't seen the Two pins on a ruler girl in a LONG time! It was two pins and on different parts of her body they would test to see when her brain would register that it was just one.

  • i remember the water episode!! and actually, i never forgot it!. that's one of the ones i remember. and the cards on the edge of the table, and the amt. of air in your lungs, and the inside the tin can that he rolls to show it draws scallop shapes and not circles....

  • Just for kids? I wanna learn this stuff too as part of my evil plot to take over the world? Where's lesson 1 in my evil genius evolution?

  • @combatsambonyc this is the FBI: we have you under surveillance for making threats against humanity. gee gosh just kidding ehehehehhehe hehee lol

  • Mr. Wizard's great. I used to watch the show after school. Then, one day, I heard that Mr. Wizard would be performing at the local mall. I went, and was chagrined to be the only adult there not accompanying a kid. Embarrassed or not, I had fun and stayed through the whole performance.

  • mr.wizard came to my school when i was little, it was rad

  • No way! I would have had a blast if he came to my school. He is my hero. Your lucky. I havent seen him in well over a decade. I realized after the first year on my own that cable was a rip off, so I am kind of detached from all this stuff. If cable had anything on me it would be this. Movies come and go (dvd) but Mr. Wizard is forever.

  • shit on your pants

  • That totally took be back in time. Right down to the little "blipp" sound at the end. What the hell was that sound anyway?

  • i also wondered that..

  • i would here that blipp sound a lot! especially when i watched ranger games back in the 80s on msg network! strange

  • lol me too

  • @zod867 That "blipp" sound is what controlled the tape machines that played the programs and commercials. Different sound frequencies were used to make the tape machine and other equipment turn on and off and do different things at the proper time. Even by todays standards it still isn't perfect as you can see stuff on tv cut into or out of when going from the network feed to the local commercials and promos and then back to the network programming.

  • @NewForceFiveFan how i miss those blipps

  • we watched a mr wizard video is science today. there was an expiriment to see what happened when he heated up a little sealed up tube of gas. the kid knew it would explode, but when it did he freaked out. it was sooo funny. xD i did a terrible job of explaining what happened. sorry! :D

  • I remember that! In fact, I think a lot of the more dangerous experiments involving gasoline and gunpowder were edited out in later airings on Nick.

  • When I was in elementary school I would get up at 6 so I could watch Mr. Wizard before I went to school. I f***ing love that show.

  • I did the EXACT same thing!!!

I woke up at 5:20 and by the time I got downstairs the end of Flipper was still on...

    Awesome man...

  • mr. wizard thought me the "stand by the door frame and press your arms against the frame for 20secs, let go, and watch your arms raise" trip....i think i was 5 at the time....0o

  • you're mother doesn't love me any more dammit!!! That's why i used a flash. There you happy....

  • I wanna know why!

  • I used to get up at like 6am or whatever to watch this show. It was my fave show as a kid. I was such a geek.

  • 3:30 pacific holy shit! No wonder you west coast motherfuckers are so fucking dumb! You grew up sleeping through Mr. Wizard!

  • Other way around.

  • yes!!!

  • wow..........OLD SCHOOL!!!

  • I had such a crush on the girl with the braces...ah youth.

  • What is that sound at the end of the video? Ive heard it at the end of other commercials as well.

  • That sound is DTMF tones that trigger other equipment (tapes, graphics, commercials, etc.) back in the day, that's how they automated things.

  • Oh cool. Thank you. I am going to look those up.

  • the dudes voice on this commercial has to be the guy who does the voice for ren and stimpy.

  • OMG!!!! This old guy is hilarious. And the token asain boy...perfect. As a matter o fact i would call it delicous.

  • Why *did* you use a flash on daylight photographs?? Of course, in hollywood movies, you light up people's face no matter what, and sometimes it's awfully noticeable.

    RIP Mr. Wizard!!

  • If you don't use a flash on a sunny day, you get ugly shadows on people's faces. The flash cancels that out, and lights up their face, which actually looks much better than having shadows on their face.

  • I liked it when you made that kid sit in the freezing cold water to measure his mass. You will be missed. R.I.P. Sir.

  • I remember very clearly watching Mr. Wizard as a child with my family . . .. Brings back some really good childhood memories. We weren't allowed to watch too much TV, but were always permitted to watch Mr. Wizard. He was a special man. My condolences to his family.

  • I 2nd that

  • RIP Mr. Wizard. Science's ambassador to the kids will not be forgotten.

  • RIP Mr. Wizard!! You made my mornings!!

  • :( Sad day for kids of the 80s.

  • RIP Mr. Herbert. Loved you when I was kid!

  • Fair winds and following seas...

It was thanks to Mr. Don Herbert that my interest in computers is what it is today. I can't thank him enough.

  • RIP Mr. Wizard, and so another legend passes =(

  • Mr. Wizard helped bring the world of science to so many children. Long live the teacher of science to young minds!

  • RIP Mr Wizard

  • R.I.P. Mr. Wizard, thanks for the memories.

  • RIP mr wizard.

  • RIP Don Herbert. You will be missed.

  • R.I.P. dude. I remember waking up every morning to watch him @ 6 a.m. lol Great memories! Thanx man!

  • RIP

  • Dude is dead.

  • Little known fact, that girl with the braces talking about using a flash is Pam from "The Office"

  • Um, that would be a no. Jenna Fischer was born and raised in the US while the kids from Mr. Wizard's World were all Canadian.

  • I think that was the problem. Everytime when me and my friend wanted to mimic the experiments we couldn't get the right amount of ingrediants beacuse Candada doesn't follow our metric system. That's why there were so many explosions in my kitchen.

  • RIP dude

  • Who are the kids?

  • Ha ha Old man with little kids playing around and that one kid says. "How come you have the Flash out? It's sunny outside we don't need the Flash!" HA HA HA

  • dude, so old

  • Awesome. Memories. ;] Thx for posting.
