The blood trickle going up frame was also pretty ingenious too.

I've used this music in one of my vids too but not for the festival. I was testing out a camera at work and pieced together the test footage into a sort of prison-esque narrative. Its called 'camera' on my homepage but in the same league as yours though.

Very nicely done. I got chills, and I just love how this thing is loaded with symbolism just waiting to be found.

As for the people who claimed this was 'ruined', 'gothic', etc... clearly, you fail at art appreciation. Come back when you've matured past the middle school level where everything a little different than what you're used to seeing is 'weird', 'emo', or 'gothic' and try again.
