That was terrific gameplay online!! Alas, I can not do that due to the fact that I'm going to get NBA 2k11 in a few weeks instead of 2k12.... At least I'll have good ol' My Player.

By the way, I'm not getting 2k12 because of the popular belief that 2k11 was (and is) MUCH better. I do have 2k10, but I have NEVER tried online play on it because I never had it when online was accessible. Anyways, good video and defense!!

@fat23will You msut have been watching without sound. I did it to him so he would see how annoying it was. And it worked because he stopped doing it. Also the hop step is a real move in nba basketball. He was just abusing it by doing it 15times.

I love your vids Greqo but I feel that whenever I do on ball defense. I get cheesed on. There are way too many cheesers in this game. I played on ball d with the grizzlies and played a knicks user who pump fake foul gimmick with Carmelo Anthony and my computer teammates overhelp and foul the guy.I barely won by 2. I also played a Dwight Howard hop step abuser and he won by 2 in OT.

the easiest way to get past the defender is going behind the back while running towards them, or spinning easily or doing one of your hesitation moves.

@jdogwar I think defense is always harder than offense. But it can lead to offense. The best place to practice is in scrimmage vs HOF computers.

@rod2467 It's easier when you have defensive teams. I know everyone can't and shouldn't play on ball D 100% of the time but you just have to know which shooters can hurt you from range to press up on and which players like to drive so you can sag off. And don't worry about calling doubles if someone is going on a scoring rampage.

Don't get me wrong ik how to play defense ik the meaning of it but those cheese moments throw me off my game when i play 24 sec of championship defense with the chicago bulls and he knocks down the shot anyway like wtf?

Hey i recently just started playing online on 2K. I've noticed mostly everyone i played so far edit their COACH SETTINGS? Im not so familiar with that can you tell me what that does. Also the shooting is delayed, im not sure if its just mine or everyone else.

@silkx69 That lets you change substitutions, rotations, timeouts, play calling etc. Most people just pause it at the beginning and put it on manual so they can keep their starters all game.

I agree. I had to switch up to make the comeback and everyone should be able to use those timeouts/halftime reports to figure out what someone is doing to you.
