yeah, squillaci played for lyon during their years of domination and helped sevilla to CL spots, i think he's a fantastic player and far better than gallas, mainly because he's bigger, doesn't injure so easily, and isn't a thick solid sod of a wanker when it comes to being a team player. kolo was great, but he's gone, and koscielny is far better than the defenders around the league, he only needs time, AND we have djourou.

Many talented young players don't have teamwork when they start out because they are miles ahead of just about everyone they play with at the lower levels. They develop teamwork when they move up and start playing with and against better players. Messi is a great example of this. He was a ball hog when he was younger, but he's a great team player now. Of course, you get someone like CR7 every now and then too. I'll give him a chance.
It's not an issue of personnel in defence, it's an issue of tactics. Song doesn't protect the back four anymore, and wenger cares more about outscoring then winning a title. if you have such an issue with defence, go support united where they play offensively only when it suits them, and defensively otherwise.
tactics aren't an issue when you have a shite defence like Arsenal's current one. As a Liverpool fan, i think Arsenal are a fantastic team, and they play beautiful football, ie why they're my second team in the premiership. But the defence is an issue. Clichy is world class, but what happened to the solid centre back of Toure and Gallas? gone, now your defence is littered with shite like Squillachi. Vermaelan is sorely missed, and it'd be interesting to see him paired up with Koscienly at CB.

Tired of people who say theres a difference between highschool defenders and EPL defenders, well obviously there is and you got to start some where, Ronaldo was once playing against highschool kids as well ffs. And just for people who say his slow, this guy runs 50m in 5.6 seconds which is faster than most professional footballers.

yeah, squillaci played for lyon during their years of domination and helped sevilla to CL spots, i think he's a fantastic player and far better than gallas, mainly because he's bigger, doesn't injure so easily, and isn't a thick solid sod of a wanker when it comes to being a team player. kolo was great, but he's gone, and koscielny is far better than the defenders around the league, he only needs time, AND we have djourou.
it's not personnel, it's tactics, trust me.

@Kaitoukid98 You have to think about his age. Many talented young players don't have teamwork when they start out because they are miles ahead of just about everyone they play with at the lower levels. They develop teamwork when they move up and start playing with and against better players. Messi is a great example of this. He was a ball hog when he was younger, but he's a great team player now. Of course, you get someone like CR7 every now and then too. I'll give him a chance.

It's not an issue of personnel in defence, it's an issue of tactics. Song doesn't protect the back four anymore, and wenger cares more about outscoring then winning a title. if you have such an issue with defence, go support united where they play offensively only when it suits them, and defensively otherwise.

tactics aren't an issue when you have a shite defence like Arsenal's current one. As a Liverpool fan, i think Arsenal are a fantastic team, and they play beautiful football, ie why they're my second team in the premiership. But the defence is an issue. Clichy is world class, but what happened to the solid centre back of Toure and Gallas? gone, now your defence is littered with shite like Squillachi. Vermaelan is sorely missed, and it'd be interesting to see him paired up with Koscienly at CB.

@RobRussianSpy Couldnt reply properly cause i cant find ur post but anyway, Chamakh is still being paid per game for nothing, whether he was a fee transfer or not, FOR A STRIKER, FROM A BIG CLUB OF THE LIGUE 1. His games have been Very poor, he reminds me of Van Nisterlooy, stays in the centre and manages to get enough luck to score a few fool goals, other then that, hes got no speed, he cant dribble past defenders, and most of his goals were by his head cause his feet are useless.

why the hell another forward when we need a replacement for center backs i dont get it. im not saying koscielny is bad but he needs another year or so to adapt, squilaci is okay i think, vermaleen never showed up after the injury, djorou looks sluggish at times, seriously wenger need to find a decent center back that is ready use and not only potentially good. Yeah and also good goalkeeper is needed desperately, fabianski is jst bad in his decisions and positioning, and almunia is too nervy
