no offense to heath ledger (who has recently proven how crazy he actually is), but there are very few people on this earth who can hold a candle to jack nicholson in the category or crazy.
a crazy person plays a great joker.
the only way that anyone could beat nicholson is if they let tyra banks's crazy ass play the joker. but i doubt that could happen....

jack was a great joker except he was too light hearted. the joker is a doark character and nicolson was too bright and happy. heath's portrayal of the joker is more dark and scary which is closer to the joker from the comics.

I agree. reminds me more of the animted joker when he got mad. now that was scarry.

yes very true, Joker is a dark character, but you have to think though, each Joker was good for its time. For how stupid the tv shows batman was, if it wasnt for the sucess for that we wouldnt have the batman movies probably

Heath has alway been convincing in his other roles, so he'll probably be the best Joker yet. Couldn't be worse than Jack Nicholson

That is horrible!!! He just played a gay character. He was not gay. He had a kid and a fiance until they broke off the engagement. People like u are going to ruin his memory. He was a great actor and it is very tragic what happened to him. R.I.P. Heath Ledger

heath will do an excellent job, but would be lieing im sure if he said he got no inspiration on handleing this character after jack nicholsons previouse talent. jack made it clear on how the joker should be, now heath is just taking a few more steps into the darkness.

I heard about that. I just can't picture Heath Ledger as the Joker. Jack Nicholson was the perfect Joker and no one will ever beat him.
