So is it made to keep livestock in or is it just for looks? I need a gate at the end of my driveway that opens automatically to keep traffic from turning around in our drive and also to keep our horses in our yard. We turn them loose to eat down the lawn sometimes, cheaper than mowing and gives them some more green to eat.

@exodous02 It's an automatic gate opener, which can be opened by remote control, or other wired and wireless entry devices. Adding a lock can help reduce the risk of the gate being blown open by wind or other natural forces. It is safe to use with livestock, but is not intended to be used as a means of monitoring them since you run the risk of them escaping every time a car is driven through when they are loose in the yard, which would be the case with any automatic opener.
