The melody and performance could be for many things. Your lyrics made it about being in love, but you could write lyrics about a dozen different things and it would fit the same melody. You could do a whole album with one melody repeated twelve times but with different titles and lyrics! (Or maybe I've just been up too long! :-)

Great lyric flow. You keep it tight with the tempo and toss in just enough rhyme (like the "ay" sounds around the 1:00 mark) to keep it interesting.

I'm a BIG fan of the brief backing vocal at 1:06-1:07. Little things like that are what makes a good song great.

Of course it is hard listening to you sing without feeling a touch of envy. I can barely keep my speaking range under control. ;-)
