it runs on paraffin with a little turbine oil mixed in. Starts with small built in electric motor seen at rear of turbine stage, and propane gas till running.

It is an early Wren MW54 turbine engine driving a reduction gearbox built from Wren plans. It now flies in a 96" span Turbo Raven aircraft.
