  • Comment removed

  • Why?

  • lol when i was a little boy, i thought cockfosters was called cornflakes lol

  • same here! lol

  • manually

  • Wow! The train hit the first crossover at a pretty good speed!

Were you operating manually or automatically?

  • 20 mph at the points then coast into the platform. Line speed there 20 mph and uphill so you go into the platform at 15 mph.

  • Thanks! It looks so much more than that! ;-) Pretty cool.

  • 5/5

  • Nice to see what the driver sees.

  • Thanks for this great clip. I lived in East barnet and worked in Piccadilly circus at a department store not unlike Grace Brothers! It brought back a lot of happy memories.

  • This is the very last leg of a very long journey for me - starting at Philadelphia International Airport flying to London Heathrow, then on the tube, all the way to Cockfosters. At this point, knowing the next stop will be the last, I am standing on the train, brushing my hair, getting ready to meet my friend at Cockfosters, almost bursting inside at the thought of another wonderful holiday with my friends there in England. Thanks for helping me re-live it all :-)

  • if you also had nightshot on your camera you could have recorded all the way from hatton x to cockforsters but i guss it might be not enough timeing to record

  • End of the line - time for a cuppa.

That end of the Piccadilly line always seemed to look better than the Hounslow end.

  • Well, how did the name Cockforster came up? Sure thing it is unusual to give such a name for a tube station

  • I heard "foster" is a short form of "forester" - i.e. the guy who made sure the gentry and the common folk didn't hunt the King's deer. And "cock" is like cock of the walk, i.e. the boss. So basically "Cockfoster" translates to "Chief Forester," and this region is where that guy historically lived.

Dunno, could be an urban legend, but makes sense to me.

  • a film of superb clarity and packed with information, thank you for sharing!

  • great video

  • Great once again

  • Cool! My fav tube line.
