With all due respect, I did see the play when it happened. He DEFINITELY laid down so Strahan could break the record. There is no doubt about it. The Green Bay coach even admitted that Favre changed the play to a naked bootleg without even telling his linemen. The o-line was pissed after the game. They wouldn't even talk about it. It was because of that play I lost ALL respect I had ever had for Mr. Favre.

It was odd that Favre ran a pass play in that situation, but I will say that Favre regularly drops like that to avoid contact. The fact that he fell in front of him isn't proof of anything. He does it all the time. Manning does the same thing.

It's smart. A QB gets hit way too much to act all macho about being hit. They should do everything they can to avoid unnecessary impact. The more they're hit the more they're injured and there goes their career. Anyway this proves nothing.
