dude I have had this album for years, and still think this is what black metal should be like in the 21st century, it may not be tr00 according to some standards, but this is black metal that goes with its time, you know, not trying to hold on to past glory (dont get me wrong I love most of the old stuff too...) Mayhem has proven that they still matter with each album lml

@VigilancesStickies GDoW was different and that's why it was also awesome. They made experiments on that album and it has extremely kick-ass songs. But it wasn't that much of an album, if you ask me. But otherwise, GDoW was a great album. It just needs to get used to its sound and complexity of an album. :)
