I'll tell you all right now, how you can tell the exact difference between an M4 and an M16. Freeze the video at a spot where you can see the length of the barrel, see how the barrel of the M4 is just barely longer then the 203? M16 would be a good 6 or 7 inches beyond that. And yes, some M4's have slightly longer barrels then others.

I have the Tokyo Marui M16A2.  The stock on your gun looks like mine. My battery lead is in the stock. I like the battery there as it's weight is carried closer to my body. I suppose I could carry a spare in the foreward grip. But yeah the slot in your stock is for models with the battery back there.

@MicroMouse007 Okay those little gears are adjustable, you can spin them one way or another. By turning those gears you are adjusting the hop up. The hop up in an airsoft gun puts a backspin on the bb as it leaves the gun, this makes a shot more accurate, and increases the distance you can shoot. If the hop is too high the bb will curve up, if its low it will curve down into the ground. Hope this helped
