you spend your birthday playing wow? seems kind of a waste. I'd be partying with family and friends. And we usually go out for dinner. But then again you didn't say that's all you do on your birthday, so I very well may be mistaken.
If it's really your birthday and your guild and friends wants to give you something, that's fine. But if you go around telling strangers that it's your birthday, even if it really is, that's seen as annoying and something to avoid. And not everyone wants to help, even if they have nothing better to do. People are greedy.
