@emobunny2612 It's a "vertical medusa". I didn't want the stud of a regular medusa to rub against my teeth and gums, plus I have a smiley (upper frenulum) so they would've caught on each other. The vertical medusa is definitely one of my favorites. It's basically the top lip version of a vertical labret. :)

I want this done so badly since I was 15 and met a guy who had it done. I'm getting scarification done as soon as pay day rolls round though. Already got 9 tattoos (10 technically but I got them done together, Two eyes, one on each forearm) and 10 piercings. I promised my mum I wouldn't split my tongue til I'm 29, I'm not waiting 7 years. I just spent the last half looking at people getting their tongue split on here.

i got mine about a week and a half ago, and i agree with you. it was actually one of my less painful modifications. the conch is by far the worst thing. i am starting to do tricks, i will get there some day :P haha

@BlownUpp I know it seems really painful, but it's not. It definitely isn't pleasant but it's not the worst pain I have ever felt. Getting ten dermal anchors on my chest hurt more than getting my tongue split.

@lolrawrgrr It's not so much the pain I'm worried about, but getting/holding a job right now has been hard enough with NO piercings/tattoos or other body mods. Maybe once I'm further down the road doing sound engineering where it doesn't matter as much it may be a reality :>
