@gixxerboy555 heck yea!! that's just the 20 seconds sitting behind cars. Not counting the loss of momentum.... slowing his speed down makes a huge difference to! :)
its been my dream since i was 10 to race on this track someday. i'm only 14 right now but im on a ninja 250r (on the streets) and i'm on an Aprilia rs 125 on my local tracks and winning almost every race. any advice from my fellow YouTubers?
Un 7:35 is schon sehr fix.

The slowest bike was a ducati gt1000 at 8m27.9s which is still faster than the ghostrider lap on his tuned gsxr1000 lol.
Look for 7:01.8 MV Agusta F4 R 312 Andy "AndyPath" Carlile 15 Oct 2008 Performance Bikes Magazine January 2008. The last time bikes raced around Nurburgring's Nordschleife circuit was in 1993. It is qouted by experienced riders that the tourist course is 30 seconds shorter. Dahne's lap would be about 7.19 which is brilliant for 16 years ago on an RC 30 750 V4 Honda.
I don't know where you get your information from. The only official times are for Helmut Dahne at 7.49. That was 1993, the last time motorcycles raced on this course and was 932 metes longer.
The one thing I dislike about Nurburgring is the lack of safety features for cars and riders alike. If you spill through most of those turns on a bike, you have a metal wall to stop you.
Thats asides the vid though, thats some sweet riding.

Correct, but Ghostrider is a crazy motherfucker that can do awesome driving on public roads. No once beats him there, he's a legend. He's just not that good at driving a course like this, but I bet this guy wouldn't even dare to do the Ghostrider stunts as Ghostrider performs them on public roads ;)
Fubaaar..dont get personal..calling people sad etc is immature...so dont shoot yourself in the foot and call the radical a "full on race car". Firstly, the Radical is a road car that uses racing technology to a degree affordable to a small manufacturer. Most top bikes do the same. The phrase "race replica" has been used for many years by bikes, RC30 for example. Surely cars can do the same. The Radical is no more unpractical than a top bike. So all things equal bike can not keep up.
The radical is only road registerable in Britain and is very marginal as a viable road car. It is debatable if it qualifies as a road car in the general definition and is mostly used as a track car. It's not mass produced like the GSXR 1000 or any of the other dozen "Superbikes". If you read the December issue of EVO magazine you will see a comparison of GSXR 1000, Porsche GT3, BMW M3 CSL, Lamborghini and Radical SR3. Straight line bikes killed all. Track, GSXR over SR3 by narrow margin.
Thats true but the Radical SR8's time is unlikely to be beaten by anything on 2 wheels, even a full on WSB or TT bike...and I say that as someone that doesn't even own a car! The Radical IS a road car though in Britain, and I'm sure in the rest of Europe as well. Granted, most ppl that buy the Radical will NEVER come close to its abilities compared to the average GSXR rider
As far as I know only 1 SR3 Turbo was registered for the road and probably 1 SR8. There were <10 SR3's registered. To say it's a road car is stretching credibility. Sure, it's road registerable in Britain and even then Radical doesn't try to register them anymore. Almost all other Radicals are trailer to the track by owners. To say it's a valid Nurburgring road registered production lap record one must have the tongue firmly planted in the cheek. There have been over 20,000 GSXR 1000's made.
But if the bike in qustion was a Desmosedici, MV Agusta CC or even a 1098R one could make the same argument re: numbers, roadworthiness and the number of owners that trailer them to the track, soo not too sure that splitting hairs in this instance is useful...
Most of the track day riders I ride with have 1 litre Japanese bikes such as the GSXR 1000, R1, ZX10 R and Honda CBR RR Fireblades. These bikes are readily available from any dealers and they are sold by the thousands. They are not rare unobtainable one-off specials, like the Radical SR8. Nearly all are ridden to the track. The bikes in question are not 1098 Ducatis or MVs but they are still a lot easier to buy than a Radical. They also comply with all registration requirements in all countries.
Fair enough...though, if one were to be anal and look at a country like Japan >400cc bikes are very very rare due to licensing issues...and so over there Radicals (if they are even sold there, which i doubt) WOULD be as rare perhaps as Gixxers of any sort...
Light weight cars are a lot cheaper than Ferraris etc. And yet you still use the last desperate comment about the costs. So the radical does not hold the record coz its more expensive.. LOOOOL. Face up to the fact that cars are getting quicker and cheaper..30 secs faster around the "ring". time enough to have a drink before the bike catches.lol
well noted a track car is fast than a road bike, who would of guessed it. the radical is a track car for the road btw which funny enough has a tuned hayabusa engine. as for the radical lap did you notice all those cars that was not in his way! the bike lap had multiple cars slowing him down and a badly placed van and radical only managed to beat it by 30secs lol. i have no problem with 4 wheels being faster just don't think they are faster because you haven't compared the right vehicles together
at the top end, cars ARE faster than bikes. They are NOT "cheaper" tho than they used to be, as likely neither you nor I could afford the SR8 whereas we might the GSXR...
A few cars are faster than some bikes in some circumstances. Nearly always, big sports bikes will be faster than nearly all cars under most conditions. This means over a period of 5 years of riding, out of several hundred encounters with fast cars, I have been beaten in top speed twice. I have never been beaten by any car in acceleration from a standing start nor from any speed from 50 to 250 kph. Sure there are cars that will outrun any bike but they are so rare they may as well not exist.
Define "fast cars." An M3 isn't fast, nor is a 911 GT3: a proper fast car is something like a Radical SR8 or an Ariel Atom or top end Caterham...everyone KNOWS that even 600s would outrun an M3/911 Turbo/F430 90% of the time! :P
My point is that production Superbikes are readily available all over the world and the Japanese manufacturers make a number of models that can be had for under US$15,000 that will kick the arse of 99.9% of production cars, irrespective of price. A 2008GSXR 1000 owner would be confident that there are virtually no stock production cars that he would encounter on public roads that would win over a ss 1/4 or mile and very few cars indeed that will win in top speed. Fast and quick are different.
Thats exactly why I started riding bikes my friend! :) My car-obsessed cousin though would counter that on an unknown real world road (twisty road, obv in a straight most bikes pwn) with a bit of gravel, oil, water, etc., his Mitsu EVO FQ360 would beat pretty much any bike in production unless the rider was prof. I think even at quicker but not quickest end of the car spectrum, it becomes harder to split them, esp w/ insane quick cars like Nissan GTR getting mid 3s 0-60mph for not TOO much $
SmartRs Soul. Anyone with a bit of intelligence knows that a full on race car with downforce will go round a track faster than a bike. I like bikes and cars, but I prefer bikes because they are much more exciting and challenging and more affordable. Everyone is free to their opinion but why you seem to take such joy in a full on race car being faster than a bike suggests you are slightly sad. Your immaturity suggests you would not be able to get near the limits on either a bike or a car.
Check out Nordschleife fastest lap times on Wiki. A few months ago the new Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec lapped it in 7:25. So a road car with less than half the power to weight ratio of the GSX-R is faster?! I think simoncbr900rr needs to retract his statement. FACT: cars go round corners faster than bikes.
Hi,yea only cose they have 4 wheels its basic physics but a gsxr 1000k7 costs 8 grand skyline probbaly double aint 2 sure but i know a bike is more fun in the summer thats a fact not in less ur some stupid bloke ho thinks sitting there and turning a wheel is fun i will let u decide.
But its also true that the fastest race bikes cant beat the fastest race cars even on circuits with long straights. Cars also have the advantage of downforce. But its silly to compare the two.
@n00bsk00lbus Not to mention that the fastest race cars and race bikes are still restricted by different league rules. MotoGP and F1 are not the fastest a bike or car could be.
@n00bsk00lbus Show me a car that can do the Isle of Man TT as quick as Guy Martin on his bike and then I'll believe the fastest race cars can beat the fastest race bikes. (I'm excluding F1 cars for the reason that they aren't a real car, but a machine)
@stan546 There are tons that could, even cars from the 70's could. For instance the Porsche 917/30 on modern rubber and with a very brave and talented driver would set an absolutely nutty laptime around the isle of man.
@n00bsk00lbus They wouldn't be suitable for IoM circuit with their low ground clearance, and small suspension travel. The IoM is even more dangerous than Nurburgring because it is 3 times longer and bumpier. Earlier this year the car record was broken by an ex British rally champion in a Subaru wrx STi with roll cage, modded suspension, exhaust tyres and brakes. A rally car is more suitable. The lap was 115 mph average, 16 mph slower than the bike lap record. Watch highlights on Youtube.
@droceretik It would be perfectly suitable for the IoM. The 917 isn't any lower than a bike is, its just a matter of suspension setup. Remember that cars from that era often raced on circuit very similar to the IoM.
it depends on the track. The ring is better for cars but on the hockenheim for example a stcok rs250 ( 56 hp ) is somthing about 3 sec faster than the fastest stock cars.
a fast car like the GT-R might just beat bikes on the track but put em on the road and chances are the car would soon be soon be stuck in traffic and the bike would be off
Verdammt gute Zeit. Traum Zeit. Wer ist diese Zeig gefahren??? Würde den Fahrer gerne kennen lernen. Bin ab Ende August/Anfang September wieder auf dem Ring. Schöne grüße aus der nähe von Hamburg
It is a good , fast lap but the real time may be 8.10 to 8.2o . I know what we talk about , because i`ve done a stopped complete drivethrough lap in 8.10 on a 600 . I stop riding the "Herointrack" 2 years ago , it`s better when you want to survive it .
The gap between gantry and bridge is one mile. That's all. And it's flat out. So that would be about 20 seconds on the Gixer. Factor in that you would be entering Tiergarten at 185mph plus instead of 120, and I'd estimate this full lap at about 7:52.
i know this track like the back of my hand. (from play stations - grand turismo 4) ha ha. any way, it was awesome to watch someone rock and roll on the same bike that i have around this course. and what a great job. i wish that he would have done a short interview at the end to tell his experience and his thoughts of the track. way to go. thanks.
its when i watch a vid like this , that i have to admit im no valentino rossi , good bit of riding mate . fair play, remind me if i ever see you not to let you have a go of my blade lol

Spot the old-school DV-tape camera. It was wrapped in foam and under the pillion seat, but it still got hit by the vibrations a lot!
As for video of the MV's 7:19... none taken unfortunately, all I have is the Driftbox file.
Looking back on this video, I could do a lot better, there are some crappy apexes and a lot of hold-ups.
The sad truth is that I will probably never ride a bike that fast on the Nordschleife again.

I think it was because he got confused about me saying that a BTG time on a 180mph bike is about 20 seconds faster.
Anyway, MV lap with Andypath was 7m21. Composite R1 lap with Bren was 7m28.
This was 7m35s and on my GSX-R1000K7. May she rest in a million pieces on the 258.

SmartRsSoul 3 years ago
The radical is only road registerable in Britain and is very marginal as a viable road car. It is debatable if it qualifies as a road car in the general definition and is mostly used as a track car. It's not mass produced like the GSXR 1000 or any of the other dozen "Superbikes". If you read the December issue of EVO magazine you will see a comparison of GSXR 1000, Porsche GT3, BMW M3 CSL, Lamborghini and Radical SR3. Straight line bikes killed all. Track, GSXR over SR3 by narrow margin.
nomedeeps 3 years ago
December issue from several years ago mate!
AroonR6 3 years ago
As far as I know only 1 SR3 Turbo was registered for the road and probably 1 SR8. There were <10 SR3's registered. To say it's a road car is stretching credibility. Sure, it's road registerable in Britain and even then Radical doesn't try to register them anymore. Almost all other Radicals are trailer to the track by owners. To say it's a valid Nurburgring road registered production lap record one must have the tongue firmly planted in the cheek. There have been over 20,000 GSXR 1000's made.
nomedeeps 3 years ago
But if the bike in qustion was a Desmosedici, MV Agusta CC or even a 1098R one could make the same argument re: numbers, roadworthiness and the number of owners that trailer them to the track, soo not too sure that splitting hairs in this instance is useful...
AroonR6 3 years ago
Most of the track day riders I ride with have 1 litre Japanese bikes such as the GSXR 1000, R1, ZX10 R and Honda CBR RR Fireblades. These bikes are readily available from any dealers and they are sold by the thousands. They are not rare unobtainable one-off specials, like the Radical SR8. Nearly all are ridden to the track. The bikes in question are not 1098 Ducatis or MVs but they are still a lot easier to buy than a Radical. They also comply with all registration requirements in all countries.
nomedeeps 3 years ago
Fair enough...though, if one were to be anal and look at a country like Japan >400cc bikes are very very rare due to licensing issues...and so over there Radicals (if they are even sold there, which i doubt) WOULD be as rare perhaps as Gixxers of any sort...

This looks slow compared to the Radical lap.. about 30 secs slower...Radical driver could stop get out, have a leak ans still beat this bike..lol
SmartRsSoul 3 years ago
u forgot 1 thing, k7 costs 8000. but
with 8 grand u can only get a sr8 WITHOUT engine
SO U CAN BEAT NOTHING.
bguo68 3 years ago
Light weight cars are a lot cheaper than Ferraris etc. And yet you still use the last desperate comment about the costs. So the radical does not hold the record coz its more expensive.. LOOOOL. Face up to the fact that cars are getting quicker and cheaper..30 secs faster around the "ring". time enough to have a drink before the bike catches.lol
SmartRsSoul 3 years ago
well noted a track car is fast than a road bike, who would of guessed it. the radical is a track car for the road btw which funny enough has a tuned hayabusa engine. as for the radical lap did you notice all those cars that was not in his way! the bike lap had multiple cars slowing him down and a badly placed van and radical only managed to beat it by 30secs lol. i have no problem with 4 wheels being faster just don't think they are faster because you haven't compared the right vehicles together
fitzmorris 3 years ago
at the top end, cars ARE faster than bikes. They are NOT "cheaper" tho than they used to be, as likely neither you nor I could afford the SR8 whereas we might the GSXR...
AroonR6 3 years ago
A few cars are faster than some bikes in some circumstances. Nearly always, big sports bikes will be faster than nearly all cars under most conditions. This means over a period of 5 years of riding, out of several hundred encounters with fast cars, I have been beaten in top speed twice. I have never been beaten by any car in acceleration from a standing start nor from any speed from 50 to 250 kph. Sure there are cars that will outrun any bike but they are so rare they may as well not exist.
nomedeeps 3 years ago
Define "fast cars." An M3 isn't fast, nor is a 911 GT3: a proper fast car is something like a Radical SR8 or an Ariel Atom or top end Caterham...everyone KNOWS that even 600s would outrun an M3/911 Turbo/F430 90% of the time! :P
AroonR6 3 years ago
My point is that production Superbikes are readily available all over the world and the Japanese manufacturers make a number of models that can be had for under US$15,000 that will kick the arse of 99.9% of production cars, irrespective of price. A 2008GSXR 1000 owner would be confident that there are virtually no stock production cars that he would encounter on public roads that would win over a ss 1/4 or mile and very few cars indeed that will win in top speed. Fast and quick are different.
nomedeeps 3 years ago
Thats exactly why I started riding bikes my friend! :) My car-obsessed cousin though would counter that on an unknown real world road (twisty road, obv in a straight most bikes pwn) with a bit of gravel, oil, water, etc., his Mitsu EVO FQ360 would beat pretty much any bike in production unless the rider was prof. I think even at quicker but not quickest end of the car spectrum, it becomes harder to split them, esp w/ insane quick cars like Nissan GTR getting mid 3s 0-60mph for not TOO much $
AroonR6 3 years ago

FACT: cars go round corners faster than bikes.
mikeyh55 3 years ago
Hi,yea only cose they have 4 wheels its basic physics but a gsxr 1000k7 costs 8 grand skyline probbaly double aint 2 sure but i know a bike is more fun in the summer thats a fact not in less ur some stupid bloke ho thinks sitting there and turning a wheel is fun i will let u decide.

But its also true that the fastest race bikes cant beat the fastest race cars even on circuits with long straights. Cars also have the advantage of downforce. But its silly to compare the two.
n00bsk00lbus 3 years ago 10
Hi,ur toattly right it is silly 2 compare the 2 but bikes.
Mac
macfad2088 3 years ago
@n00bsk00lbus Not to mention that the fastest race cars and race bikes are still restricted by different league rules. MotoGP and F1 are not the fastest a bike or car could be.
daugbret 10 months ago
@n00bsk00lbus Show me a car that can do the Isle of Man TT as quick as Guy Martin on his bike and then I'll believe the fastest race cars can beat the fastest race bikes. (I'm excluding F1 cars for the reason that they aren't a real car, but a machine)
stan546 7 months ago 6
@stan546 There are tons that could, even cars from the 70's could. For instance the Porsche 917/30 on modern rubber and with a very brave and talented driver would set an absolutely nutty laptime around the isle of man.
n00bsk00lbus 7 months ago
@n00bsk00lbus They wouldn't be suitable for IoM circuit with their low ground clearance, and small suspension travel. The IoM is even more dangerous than Nurburgring because it is 3 times longer and bumpier. Earlier this year the car record was broken by an ex British rally champion in a Subaru wrx STi with roll cage, modded suspension, exhaust tyres and brakes. A rally car is more suitable. The lap was 115 mph average, 16 mph slower than the bike lap record. Watch highlights on Youtube.
droceretik 6 months ago
@droceretik It would be perfectly suitable for the IoM. The 917 isn't any lower than a bike is, its just a matter of suspension setup. Remember that cars from that era often raced on circuit very similar to the IoM.
n00bsk00lbus 6 months ago
@stan546 F1 cars arent real cars? lol
igorkovacevic230495 3 months ago
@stan546 agreed... a modded gixxer 600 ran a 7:18 a few years ago... Pretty damn fast for a machine that tops out at 165.. :)
SDkawi6 3 weeks ago
@stan546 Anything with serious downforce (Radical etc) will stuff a bike. Basic physics.
shannonlevett 1 day ago
it depends on the track. The ring is better for cars but on the hockenheim for example a stcok rs250 ( 56 hp ) is somthing about 3 sec faster than the fastest stock cars.
abchaz01 3 years ago 3
a fast car like the GT-R might just beat bikes on the track but put em on the road and chances are the car would soon be soon be stuck in traffic and the bike would be off

It is a good , fast lap but the real time may be 8.10 to 8.2o . I know what we talk about , because i`ve done a stopped complete drivethrough lap in 8.10 on a 600 . I stop riding the "Herointrack" 2 years ago , it`s better when you want to survive it .
As i said , a real good lap , love to see it .
you`re an excellent Ringer !

The gap between gantry and bridge is one mile. That's all. And it's flat out. So that would be about 20 seconds on the Gixer. Factor in that you would be entering Tiergarten at 185mph plus instead of 120, and I'd estimate this full lap at about 7:52.
