Hello, so the screen of my ipod suddenly went blank as well. It has no backlight, nothing, but everything else is working perfectly. Is the screen broken? thx
hello all. I replaced my ipod screen a couple days ago and after I Put my ipod back together I noticed the menu button lost that click feel when you push down on it. It still works but you cant feel it push down. I opended my ipod back up but could not find any thing out of place. any suggestions?

That depends if the only damage was to the screen and not the motherboard or other parts. You can take a look at the parts we carry at PDApart(dot)com
thx for this vid! i'm planning on repairing my ipod screen with the help of this vid.. but i'm just wondering, is it hard to put it back together again? and especially the ribbon cables?
good job on the vid...my white 30gb has dead pixels on the screen. it started out small but its now like 8 times the size it started out as n its still getting bigger...im gonna fix it using this vid. thanx!
Hey, on that screen press fit connector, I was being a retard and thought that it was the same as the others and I tried to pull up on that little tan-colored "bridge" over the ribbon cable, and a small chunk of it broke. It didn't come all the way off, but it is only slightly hanging on. I didn't move the cable. Will my iPod be alright?
Will apple fix an ipod video screen for you?

if the screen is blank and won't turn on, but the music still plays, the problem is the screen not the motherboard or other parts...right?
mellowrocker1234 3 years ago
from your description it sounds like the screen is bad.
pdaparts 3 years ago
