Haha, the germans added some very soft suspension to the Audi 100, so that it bounced around and then called it "5000":D... And then shipped them to the USA:D
I miss my family's 1987 Audi 5000 S. Bright Red. Bought used in 1988 with 20,000 miles, got rid of it in 2000 with ~230,000 miles (the odometer quit at 194,999). We had a lot of problems with it, but it was driven hard; there was one year we put 50,000 miles on it. We usually put around 20,000 miles per year on it
