Ignoring the fact that kids watching Strawberry Shortcake probably can't read very well and don't even understand what downloading on the Internet is - isn't it pretty stupid to put these propaganda pieces on DVDs that you legally purchased?
I never see these warnings when I download movies from the Internet... Er, that is, IF I were to download a movie from the Internet. I don't. I just mean, if I did. If you did. You won't see that warning.
Everything about the video-piece is inappropriate for a movie marketed to children.
There is no law saying they have to put the video-piece on the end, only that sufficient warning be made about the penalties for copyright infringement.
It's modelled after adult-themed movies, with aggressive visuals and music, to make a point to adults about the moral choices they make.
It should either be left off children's movies entirely, or swapped for a version that is more appropriate to the content.
It might not be scary to us but to very young children that combination of heavy sounds and quick framespeed can be interpreted as "scary". Just think of all the really ridiculous things you were scared of as a kid.
True that, I saw an FBI warning once before a video called "Gymboree Zoo Safari" and it freaked me out. And even when I got older I never wanted to see it again.
Yes, that was needed. We all know 5 year olds like to download movies!
