She and I had this one weird inside joke. It started in math, when we found out that the name of the square root symbol is surd. I don't know why exactly we found this so funny, but somehow we did. So Whenever we saw each other, one of us would always say "Hey Gareth/Chloë (depending on who started it)! Guess what!" Then the other would say "What?" This would be followed by the one who started the conversation saying "Surd!" After this, we would just break into laughter.
I think that Chloë would have wanted something like this as her tribute. I wish that I could have heard her sing like that when she was still with us.
I didn't know Chloe until she came to Logan Park. Even then, I only knew her for about 2 months, but I'm glad to have known her for even that short a time. She was a kind, smart, funny, and talented person. She made strong impressions on everyone around her, myself included. She was unique, distinct, and memorable. My sympathies to everyone else who knew her, her family especially. It's a real shame that her fine life ended so early. Chloe, nous ne t'oublierons jamais.
