just drove the diesel version in germany 2 weeks ago. what a dream. you can drive the piss out of it and it still got 25mpg. if you held it at 120kmh it would get over 40.

i'd probably get this for my fourth car. first car is goin to be manual. for a two reasons: firstly: automatics are more expensive than manuals, secondly: you need to get used to using the clutch. that's my advice to you gis when you've passed your test in a manual (if you learn in a manual!)

I am debating on buying a Q7, just scared of issues it might have. I am looking at an 07 4.2L. Has anyone had any major issues from 40k miles and up?? Pretty good reviews, but you get the occasional bad review.

my mom drives 3.6L Q7 w/ sports package. with gas prices today, the 3.6L is more advisable. the ride is smooth and its not underpowered either. so i dont see the point of buying the 8 cylinder. it used to be my favorite car until my dad got the BMW 528i. lol

Lincoln is just fine :-) much better fit and finish then Cadillac, just a slightly tackier design. Audi or Lexus.... Lexus wins. Japenese or German..... Japanese wins. The Lexus Land Cruiser trumps the Range Rover with ease.

1. German Engineering is outstanding.

2. Italian Designs are pretty cool.

3. Japanese Technologies are superb.

Obviously everyone knows these facts.

Unfortunately, americans are not in same league; US cars remain just big sized shiny crap.

True technologies are provided by Japan and Germany.

Hybrid system and it batteries are developed and designed in Japan.

GM was the first to modify existing production engines to enable cylinder deactivation with Cadillacs L62 V8 in 1981. also don't forget about GM's largest test fleet of hydrogen cars. Also American inventor Thomas Davenport and Scotsman robert davidson invented the more practical and successful electric car.

Also you may realize that every "technology" by GM is just disposable:

Cylinders deactivation system was a proved fiasco and never success.

Hydrogen cars are not marketable yet.

GM tiny electric car EV1 flopped because of poor technology and lot of failures.

After all, after past glory then bankruptcy... GM is dead.

escalade is all show, chrome rim, chrome sides, chrome window finish, chrome grill, ghrome everything!...its more for showing off then actually a good built SUV

the Q7 ACTULLAY handles well, witch is what you need when its raining or snowing, not a pair of 22inch rims LOL

At the end, they show a BMW X3, though they claim that it's an X5. In EVERY single KBB video, there's one slight mistake in the video.

I consider the Q7 to be more of a midsize SUV than a large SUV. Although it has three rows of seats, it's closer in power, room, and price to midsize SUV's including the Porsche Cayenne, Infiniti FX35, Mercedes-Benz ML, Cadillac SRX, etc.

I love the Audi Q7. It competes with the Infiniti QX56, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz ML, Lexus RX, Lincoln MKX, Porsche Cayenne, and Cadillac SRX. The Q7 defeats all of those.

Neither of those companies suck. Lincolns are ok cars, and I LOVE Cadillacs (how 'bout the Escalade with a ton of standard features and 403 horsepower?) (or the CTS-V just over $60,000 with 556 horsepower?). I did forget the Volvo XC90, though. I'll agree with you on that.

Amen! I HATE, HATE the Mercedes-Benz GL. It's an absolute waste of money. I'd much rather have a Cadillac Escalade, which has more power, standard amenities, and overall higher quality than the GL450.
