he was quite a well known actor from the 80s/90s who was good friends with johnny depp, keanu reeves and some other upcoming hollywood stars. He was also a less well known musician, and died in the Viper Rooms club in LA that was part owned by johnny depp in 1993 at age 23 from a speedball overdose (Heroin and coke mixed together)

@brendeninchauspe He was an actor, (brothers with juaquin phoenix who you prolly know) But he was also an amazing musician and this is some of his great stuff we got to hear before he died. Also, its John Frusciante, who kicks ass so its a pretty damn good mix :)

@28nirvana28 he was known for acting- but he had played guitar from a kid and wrote. I read he got a development deal with Island Records when he was 16, he was famous at 16 so, by rights, he could have taken a fast track into the charts with his own stuff. didnt want to sell out so Instead he put a band together and gigged around the states on the cheap. Then the deal was dropped around 91' because he refused to alter his music and go with a more mainstream sound to please the label. class.
