We had an overwhelming breakout of whooping cough here in Bendigo in the last year. I ask my school for info on this required vaccine- they had ZERO info & acted like I was paranoid for asking. I told them my children would NOT be receiving the vaccine- they said "you need to come IN to the school and fill out a form. We can't send a release home anymore" I was like- "Ok" they were shocked! but it is that easy to opt out. Like their really gonna not enroll your child...Pft! Threaten me w/ a good time!

I am in Bakersfield. My daughter's high school called me and told me she couldn't attend unless she had this shot. I knew she was up to date.....but they wanted her to get one anyway (so they would have documentaiton). I found her records and she was up to date, so no additional vaccine was needed. What concerns me is children being over vaccinated just for the sake of paperwork. Pay close attention parents! If your child has had Tdap after 2005, another isn't needed.

Just to make sure that I am understanding you correctly. Just because the form is saying common sense things in black and white. "Stay close if you need treatment right away" and "You can't sue us if your physiology is incompatible with this treatment" then that means that vaccinations are bad by definition?
