He could have won with pure aggression but he WANTED to time him out probably just to humiliate or annoy him (i've done the same before).

@KaloKross Well I told you whatsup already hehe. Planking isn't allowed anymore. 35 ledge grab limit rule and all. If it is allowed, the TO doesn't know what they are doing. Timeouts do happen, but they aren't this dramatically boring, and metaknights are much better than this, and much more aggressive, same with diddy's, this didn't was playing well for the time, but not anywhere near the level that they play now.

it very, very rarely happens in melee, and that only happened because of the stage being kongo jungle 64. brawl on the other hand happens quite often, most matches look like this to me, just not timed out, or QUITE as long. but still, nonetheless, very campy and dull. Timer running out in SF is alot different and less likely considering you can't just "fly away" from your opponent from a whole minute of a match, you can't really run away in SF.

Yeah, but still... It's quite saddening this happening in Melee too. And here's the difference: Plank isn't a good Meta, and that Diddy really doesn't seem smart ; PS and RockCrock are top players who place better at their game. So the tactic is not particularly more viable in Brawl, it all depends on the characters and the stage: you need one that can stay in the air all the time (MK ; Peach), and one with bad vertical movement (Diddy ; Ganondorf).

That tactic sucks, no matter what the game.

as a melee player i laugh at brawl players who fall victim to MK, but the answer is simple.

Plank probably isnt very good ,and the fact that he plays MK masks his lack of skill. That is until he plays someone who is noticeably better. (probably some1 from melee who just plays brawl to make money, see: the person who placed 2nd at genesis)
