In her autobiography she said that Ryan punched her in the face when they found out she was nominated. She didnt bring that up. Paper Moon is my favorite movie of all time and the whole theme of a little girl trying to be like her dad so he will love her (and actually becoming a better con artist than him in the process) was so like their real experience that it seems ironic and heartbreaking. I love love love Tatum O'Neal. Much peace and respect to her.
@sharonanne116 When she talks about Madeline's character being her nemesis because she was the girlfriend and that "Addie" wanted her away from her father, I couldn't help but think of Farrah. Another scenario from the movie that seemed to play out for them in real life. Very ironic. So sad that it seems Ryan was jealous of her winning that Oscar. And she gave it to him because he needed it more. She absolutely adores him still. I hope they can work out their relationship once and for all.
She didN'T mention Candy Clark, I guess she knew her nomination was not right (?).
