  • Aww crap I accidentally disliked the video. First time that ever happened. I swear.

  • LIttle Baby Abaddon is SOOOOooooo jealous right here...

  • Wendy would approve! I do too. Great job.

  • Nice try!

  • absolutely delightful)))))))))))))

  • its great! I thought it was wendy!! great done!!

  • Please play it backwards is sounds just as beautiful and kind crazzzy!

  • Most enjoyable!

  • Well done, sounds great!

  • excellent job, bravo!

  • Well done!

  • Very well done. But I'm sorry I have to say this has not much to do with Wendy Carlos' works, as she/he played voice by voice by hand onto a multitrack tape. Your interpretation sounds like played back by a computer or sequencer. Don't get me wrong, it is pretty good work and nice patching and sounds. But it's not the same "spirit" like the rhythmically slightly inaccurate, tape-sounding, analog-detuned Wendy Carlos sound (I'm speaking of the original Switched-on Bach record). Just my 2 cents...

  • Sounds great! You say "home built" Moog. Are these Moog modules? Where did you get them?

  • Lovely..

  • Any chance of the Walter Carlos 'Switched On Bach' Sheep May Safely Graze it's beautiful , I have the LP (Vinyl) but my attempts to even CD it flatten it out badly , unlike this well produced upload which is crisp and splendid.

  • I keep coming back to listen to this... I love the precision - especially with how you use the attack on the envelope - it's great how tight the timing is. I think this is how Bach should be played, the sounds don't try to emulate any other instrument, but due to the clarity of the sound I think it's perfect for music as complex as this.

  • This is brilliant.

  • Props!

  • soooooo geil! XD sehr gut!

  • Oh, great !!! Walter/Wendy Carlos is your spiritual mother/father (arf, arf :-)))))

Seriously, I like this since Switched o Bach and Clockwork Orange !

  • Fantastic! I always wanted to try one of tese, but it looked too complicated so I went with the cello instead.

  • Ohhh nooo, he's playing classical music... (portal 2 reference)

  • This is most excellent! I hope you are "discovered!"

  • Splendido !!!

  • This just made me HAPPY. You really should put together an album. I know it's been done, but these performances are just as good as any out there IMHO, and it's always nice to hear creative realizations like this.

  • My father listened to Beethoven & Mozart. Then along came a friend of his in 1968 with Switched on Bach. Blew my mind.

After that there was no other composer for me to touch Bach or come close. I love Baroque on Moog then & love it now. Perfectly suited. Warm & clear sounding. You've done a great job too. Be nice to hear number 4 of the six also on Moog... hint hint.

  • If old Johann Sebastian had had access to a Moog, he would have been so happily busy 24/7 he wouldn't have had the time to father 7 children!

  • Brilliant Orchestration for Moog! I also adore the pioneering music from Carlos from Switched-On-Bach to her orchestration for Clockwork Orange, Tron & the Shining:) Warm Winter Wishes - DeniseX

  • Yes , great !!!

  • thanks for the upload!

  • Would you be willing to share patch layouts for some of the sounds?

  • @TheAlphadial

    thanks for your comments

I dont keep a record of patches..its all intuitive

  • Comment removed

  • I have an old cassette of Wendy's original Bach. This is in the same league, unlike her later reworking of it. Superb!

  • how long did it take you? It would take me lemme see about a decade. haha

  • Great job! This synth sounds nice. If you did all of this with old, analog synths only: well done, hats off, I bow to you !! Making the right sound is one thing, but I can only guess how many hours you must have spent programming the sequencer. What sequencer did you use? I also read you used a home built synth. Yes...you are a true fan !!!

  • @telescopereplicator ...thanks.. appreciated

  • You truly do pay homage to both Wendy and Bach! Billiant.

  • great picture!

  • Congratulations!!! and Thank´s

  • Very nice and true to the original (Wendy, that is!)

  • awsome as ppl say bach would be proud

  • That is a sad looking Moog in the picture

  • I'm sorry about the picture..its half way thru the building of the DIY 3C...but it looks pretty cool now!

  • Great job!

  • Thanks

  • ooh can you do the d minor little prelude from the six little preludes?

  • Thanks.....Sure, quite a lot...one has to be careful about too much timbral colour in a small piece as it quickly becomes disjointed and it loses its identity, it all depends on the piece itself.

  • Sounds excellent!

  • Excellent!

    Bach would be proud!

    Moog too. :)

  • Woow Quiero un sintetizador, suenan genial :D

5/5 me gustan mucho los sonidos sintetizados

    nice ;D

  • Thank you..Yes..a replica of an original

Moog 3C with most of the modules working and controlled via Midi CV converter rather than

    the Moog dedicated keyboard..

  • Well done! You play beautiful and it sounds very nice on synthesizer. Is it your home built synth on the picture?
