Guys I just Saw on AnimeNewsNetwork Something too Saddening....the Seiyuu of Hikaru Shindo "Kawakami Tomoko" was diagnosed with Ovalry Cancer in 2008 since then it She was hospitalized and undergo treatments but at the End it didn't help After a Long batle with he Cancer she died on June 9th....She was Also Known as Soi Fon in Bleach Now Since episode 206 Houko Kuwashima known as Sango from Inuyasha replaced her as Soi Fon! and other Seiyuuwill replace her in her Ongoing Roles in Anime R.I.P

it's so awesome to grow along with this manga haha. i started from the beginning when it was on the monthly shonen jump in junior high, completely stopped cuz of school and lack of time (most demanding school in NY, what can u expect T^T), then watched the rest in high school when hikaru is in hs. my gosh, this brings up memories all right. ive gone from the initial goof in my school to Caltech and I loved watching Hikaru go from the goofy kid to a man wanting to change and pursue his dreams.

i like it. i just don't like that they didn't say what the divine move is. like it's something made up. for those of you who care, it's a single move that turns the player from the loser into the winner. basically.

@schnisha95 It was my understanding that the Divine Move was playing an absolutely perfect game from start to finish. And that kind of makes sense because even in Sai's game with Toya Meijin he made a mistake. Hikaru pointed out his mistake and said that if had done an alternate move, Sai's victory over the Meijin would have been more decisive than it was. So I believe that striving for the Divine Move is striving to play a game where there are absolutely no mistakes. Just my opinion though. :)

@UMBCgirl101 that's not really a matter of opinion. it's the definition of the divine move. look it up on wikipedia. it's one single move that turns the player from a losing position to a winning position.

However, it is also stated in the article that in Hikaru no Go the definition of the Divine Move is playing a perfect game. The move I mentioned before in Sai and the Meijin's game? That would have been a divine move - it would have put the losing player, Toya Koyo, in a winning position over Sai. So technically, we're both right.

the growth of hikaru in this anime is so amazing and scary at the same time. i was like "whoaaaa!!" when i compared the art of the last episode and the first couple. hikaru matures so much and becomes something incredible, that's why i love this anime and opening so much. even though i do miss sai... one of the reasons i really like and really dislike about hikaru no go is the fact that you can see the characters aging. it shows that time is passing but at the same time you dont want to lose those sweet cocky little kids thumbs up if you agree

And this anime shown a quite real competitive world at the same time those special friendship that touch my feelings so deeply,this ending is sad, but this ending really fits that story and for hikaru, this maybe is the good ending for him. If sai continue to stay with him ,he will not be able to be matured.

I find it an almost heartrending bit of nostalgia for the series as a whole- It's like the last day of high school- sure, you'll always get to see your friends and such, but never in that same, almost magical routine.
