I know a different version of that trick where you have to have all 52 cards or it doesn' t work and you count from the face card to 13 turn the card piles over take 3 of the pile s and lay them out on the table and put the rest of them in your hand along with the left over cards flip the top card of two out of the three piles add them together and add 10 to the answer and them subtract the answer from the pile of cards the you put together and the answer is in the pile that you didn't flip.
