The smell could be from the packaging or what it was packed in.... I don't think it would be the eyeshadow itself since the ingredients are pretty standard (I went back and freezed it to read it). Maybe if you let it air out a bit?? Just trying to help!! :-)

Maybe since Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, you could do a tutorial for a wearable look using some of those reds and pinks? I find it hard to pull off red eyeshadow so I'd love to see how you use it! :)

Sometimes when I have a palette that smells strong or bad. I take a piece of paper or a thin piece of card and spray it with a light body spray like cucumber and aloe or whatever you have and tape it in the palette and it helps neutralize the smell. Purple looks really nice on you.

You can get these from eBay for around $15 free shipping. (Takes time on shipping and you risk packing issues). One company makes all the various palettes and company are able to market them as their own. The colors work a lot better on a white base, I like using my NYX jumbo pencil in milk to make the colors more vibrant.
