cant wait to have my head milled and get my cummins replacement headgasket and get mine fixed. how much boost is being run in that thing? is the trans built? is he running stock injectors? what kind of fuel plate is in it? has the headgasket been replaced before? if not and you're running around 35 pounds of boost you're right on the edge.

@6030diesel All good questions. The boost can go as high as 40psi with the upgraded turbo. The trans is built and has a high torque torque converter. It has marine injectors. Stock fuel plate moved all way forward. Head gasket is the original amazingly enough!

@edzgarage well at least the original is a good one. mine had some sort of upgraded injectors, then i figured id replace them when i did the headgasket and i put stockers in and they suck! im going to pull out my fuel plate to see if i can make the most of them. what kind of turbo is it? stocker with upgraded compressor wheel and housing? also, does he have a governer spring kit in it to allow it to rev higher? if so which one? sorry for all the questions but im curious as to what is done to it.

@6030diesel I will have to ask my Brother some of these questions since he was the original owner and did all the work. I do know the turbo is not the stock one rebuilt since we have the stock one in a box in the garage lol I will have to check on the governor spring, but I don't think it can over rev though.

@edzgarage oh i just found that video of when your brother was explaining it. if it has a 3000 GSK in it, it will rev to about 3 grand before topping out, if it has a 4000 GSK it will rev well into the redzone before topping out. if he has a 4000 GSK, im sure your brother would have put in the heavier valve springs to keep the valves from floating at those RPMS. still a really nice truck. and after reading comments i cant beleive he got it for a grand! thats a steal!

@edzgarage me too. i spent 1650 on mine and it didnt come with any of those goodies, plus i had to fix a bunch of stuff on it first! and now i blew a headgasket lol. oh well once i get that fixed she'll rip stuff up. you should tell masteroutdoorsman to grind his fuel plate for a little more jam :D

@6030diesel dont forget the arp head studs they will clamp it down nice and tight and you shouldnt have to worry about the gasket again :)

So yea, fisrt snowfall came, donuts were much more fun, safer for the truck. but I still rarely ever do it, (new truck and all)
